Wonderful house in a great location. If we are returning to the area we would look at staying here again. Overall a great experience. As a family that books houses so we can cook/bake some on vacation we did find the kitchen a little lacking in basic cookware.

House is lovely, tucked away in the woods. Private Lake Michigan beach -?! Unbelievable! 80 stairs to get to it and worth every one. We did not end up needing the third bedroom in renovated garage but it looked lovely.

Great spot with lake access. The master bed broke the first night of our stay. While we were impressed with the rental, we are not entirely pleased with how they handled the situation or the re-compensation.

Inside was nice. The window in the main bathroom doesn’t have any covering so it is very exposed to the outside. The third bedroom is in the garage and not attached, and had a lot of bugs in it. The deck and outside of the house could use some upkeep. Everything was covered in spiderwebs and leaves. The beach is nice but just know it is about 80 steps down and back up.

Great location for a secluded and relaxing stay near the beach. The home is spacious, has a large kitchen and natural light. Bed linens were very soft and the firmness of the bed was perfect for me. You do need some stamina to get back up the 87 steps to the beach but it’s worth it. We spotted some deer, wild turkeys, rabbits and of course many squirrels. A short drive to neighboring towns, Saugatuck, Holland and South Haven.

In The Trees

What a lovely setting in the Trees for a girls weekend getaway. Location was perfect and easy drive to many things. So relaxing watching the animals sitting in the three season room and walking the beach. The house was very homey and had everything we needed. Kitchen was excellent and so well supplied. We loved the hot tub! Thank you for a great stay!

The house and location were perfect. We loved being so close to a private beach and were so close to many great restaurants, parks, etc. such a great host and such an amazing experience. So very thankful to have found this spot.

Great getaway in an ideal location. Easy checkin and checkout. Loved the outdoor spaces and amenities and proximity to the lake. It was really helpful to have a high chair too!

Beautiful & Peaceful Surroundings

The home & the surrounds were beautiful & very peaceful but we felt a few things needed to be addressed. The place actually could have been a bit cleaner, there was sand in the bottom of the tub, all the glass tables out in the sun room had finger prints still on them even under the glass edges, the spider & cob webs outside the dining room windows and all over the deck were really bad and many of the window really needed cleaned. No way to get lights to turn on in the small hallway close to the laundry room, lamp on table when you come in front door on that table needs taken away its not usable, and finding those stairs down to the water was not marked and we didn't even find it till second day there and only because someone showed us. The grill igniter does not work at all and grill was very dirty. But over all we really did enjoy our stay there, sorry for the bad comments

Great place with a short walk to what feels like your own private beach

We really enjoyed our stay. Great kitchen, though we didn't cook! Next time, we will plan a grocery trip. The screened in porch was really comfortable with all the sliding doors open. The room in the garage was nice, but a bit of a pain to have to go to the main house to use the bathroom, but we knew that beforehand. TIP: The shed's lock code is on the sheet with the WIFI password. It took us too long to realize that and we could have used those beach chairs!

Family getaway

The home was absolutely “in the trees”, making it very private despite other houses all around. The interior is roomy & spread out with nice flooring & updated workable kitchen. Bathrooms are also updated with tile floors. Nice furnishings throughout with only one exception and that is lack of bath linens.1 each of everything was a bit skimpy for us so laundry was done daily. I am giving 4 stars for cleanliness only because the outside of the home has many spider webs attached to the windows & deck. Otherwise, the interior was very clean. We very much enjoyed our time in your home with our son & family.

Wonderful and spacious place in the woods!

Clean and easily accommodated the 5 of us. Close to lake Michigan and tons of deer. Could use a bit more parking space as we had three cars and would of like to had the cousins over but no where to park 'em.

Family vacation

We come to the South Haven area every year for our family vacation and this home was by far the best we have ever stayed in. Very clean, 3 minute walk down to the perfect sunsets every night, comfortable beds, plenty of space for our family of 5!

Amazing Home, Incredible Location

This is one of the best properties I have stayed at. The house is beautiful with a 3 season room, beautiful outdoor deck, and of course half a block away from the beach. The Jaqua Rental team was so communicative and helpful, they made sure all our questions were answered before we even thought to ask them. While the one bedroom being separated from the house and in the garage did break up group cohesion, this stay would be perfect for a group looking for some privacy as well. My friends and I absolutely loved this home and hope to return some day!! 10/10 would recommend
