Even better than expected

This cabin was by far the best one that we have ever stayed in. The decor was perfect! The view was spectacular! The hot tub was great and I really love the horseback riding.

Spent a long weekend. Beautiful weather and the mountain views awesome. Made a trip to Boone, Grandfather Mtn and Blowing Rock. Drove on the Blue Ridge Parkway. All in all, we had a very nice 'birthday' weekend. Home is beautiful. We used the hot tub every night. Overall, very private and peaceful.

Breathtaking View

The most well appointment rental we have stayed at! The hot tub was super clean, the beds were great and the views from the deck we're breathtaking! We plan on coming back in the spring. The pictures are a little dark and do not do it justice. If you are on the fence about booking, just go for it! The office staff were also friendly and helpful!

Suggestions for making your guests more comfortable: New towels and bedding. New mattresses/pillows, & more than one usable pillow per person. Too many sham pillows. Hire someone to keep outdoor spaces cleaner. The porch, hot tub, & grill were all dirty and not user friendly. Safety hazard in upstairs shower/tub-it is slippery with no grab bars. Someone is going to fall.

Beautiful area

We stayed here to attend Merle Fest. The place was great although a little dicey driving back to the house in the dark. All went very well though.

Mountain getaway

The area was tranquil and just what we were looking for - gorgeous views and nice trails to hike just outside our door. We will definitely look to come again!

With it being in the mountains, the internet and cell service was good. One suggestion: the door into the laundry area would not stay closed unless it was locked with the deadbolt. The door knob needs to be replaced. That is the reason for the 3 stars on property condition.

Beautiful Views

We had an amazing stay at Sunset Ridge. The view is stunning. The trails on site also made it an oasis we never had to leave. We look forward to returning, but for a longer stay!

Just breathe!

Super cute and cozy cabin that requires you to get away from it all. (exactly what we needed!) The cabin was very well stocked. The staff at Leatherwood Mountain Resort was very friendly and accommodating. Jamie was a great trail ride leader and it was fun to talk to her. The sunsets were priceless. Hope to be back!

The Christmas decorations were perfect for the time of year. The family that owns the cabin went above and beyond in making our experience one to always remember. We enjoyed every minute there. Hallmark movie just missing hunky handyman

Relatively easy drive. When I arrived it was so clean, smelled amazing, was decorated for Christmas. As I walked around and saw the amazing view and ginormous hot tub I felt like I was in the beginning of a hallmark movie. It was just me and my BFF with the husbands and kids left at home so any man candy would have just improved the view, but no movie worthy relationships would have blossomed. Watching sunsets from the hot tub was a “we’ve made it” life moment. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen stocked with everything you could need. I would stay here again.

So many great little extras add to the breathtaking views and beautiful scenery surrounding us every second. Unfortunately the internet variability was a big problem for us as we bring our work with us many times and struggled with connectivity issues. Also it was really dusty and could use a good deep clean. The basics were very well cleaned. The kitchen is well stocked and we love the layout/floor plan, deck, hot tub. It's really comfortable and cozy and we would love to return but may have to pick another cabin the next time with better internet connection. Thank you for letting us stay!
