“Sadly we had to book breakfast over the phone the previous night,that is any one picked up the phone, we realised this when our answer phone message wasn’t passed on . It felt like the owners really didn’t care for their guests and didn’t want the hassle in dealing with them. The poor young lady was coping well with the problems thrown at her but we definitely will not be staying there again. ”

“The bed was really uncomfortable, which was a surprise for a PI, as they pride themselves on the bed comfort. The bar was open late which was great. The parking is small, only 17 spots and you pay for this daily. ”

“We had a wonderful, relaxing stay. The staff were all very welcoming and accommodating throughout. The grounds and rooms are well maintained and food in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast were prepared to a very high standard. The only thing I would mention is that there is a breakfast buffet advertised by Expedia; flagging that this is only for continental and the hot food is made to order (I imagine because it is a smaller amount of rooms than a larger property, so reduces waste and...

“Muy mala. La calefacción no funcionaba correctamente en la mayoria de las habitaciones. El check in muy tarde (y lento) y check out muy temprano. Desayuno tambien termina demasiado temprano. No hacen las habitaciones a diario. El servio en recepción no podia resolver los problemas. Mi grupo llevó mas de 50 personas al hotel. Totalmente descartado para el año que viene.”

“Lindsey and Richard run a wonderful B&B with a cooked to order breakfast with farm fresh eggs. The rooms are spotless and well taken care of during the stay by Lindsey. The area is quiet at night for a good sleep, the yard and gardens lovely, and an excellent pub close by. We really hope to be back one day.”

“We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chestnut Tree. Lisa, the host was the main reason, she is a great communicator which is important when booking. She was so very helpful with local information and incredibly kind. Our room was beautiful and the amenities in the bathroom delightful. The area is beautiful but with only one night, we didn’t get the change to do much exploring. Next time. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful stay.”
