The reality of the island is far from what is advertised: ​No Beach: The beach in front of the hotel no longer exists; it has been completely washed away by the sea. Instead of sand, you will find a long line of sandbags along the coast trying to stop the erosion. ​Dead Coral Reef: The reef right in front is completely dead. “This hotel has just been taken over by new owners the staff were saying, so are putting a lot of money into it to get it up to 4 star. The staff were so helpful, my room was great ,and with the improvements it'll only get better. What a location too, loved we were looking out over the ocean, and an easy walk into town. I'll definitely be staying here again when I come back.”

“I stay here as it is near my work. For that purpose it’s perfect. Great price point, clean, quiet (except for the birdsong) and the check-in and check out are quick and easy whatever time it is. For families there is a playground and swimming pool area that are serviceable but old and tired looking. Location to tourist attractions is about a 15 minute drive. I think this place is okay for low cost tourism but great for those looking for budget friendly accommodation”
