“Good parking on site with electric charger. Rooms were clean with comfortable bed and very comfy bedding.Breakfast was delicious, both continental and full English available. Staff were very friendly and helpful.Good central location with plenty of restaurants and pubs within walking distance. The rooms have been refurbished and modernised and the hallway was still in the process of being painted. Would highly recommend this hotel and will hopefully get the chance to visit again. ”

“The room was clean the bed was comfortable but the shower area needed major repair. The flush button on the toilet was broken,the soap dispenser was broken and the shower doors didn't meet. The door into the room was difficult to unlock. The Hotel needed updating generally.”

“Booked a one night stay as meeting up with a group of friends for a night out in Newark. My (standard) room was clean, comfortable and well furnished. The bar/dining area was very cosy with local beers (Pheasantry) on draught. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay and the breakfast was superb. Excellent value for money - highly recommended!”

“Convenient location and clean. Easy checkin with the key available from pub across the road. Had unusual single cup kettle and coffee maker and good selection of teas and coffees. Lights and bathroom tap were on timing sensors and both were a bit annoying particularly the tap when you were trying to fill a jug for the kettle. Bedclothing was a bit tired and there were only 2 fairly flat pillows on a standard size double bed. The thing I really didn’t like though was the musty smell of bedding...

“Lovely rooms but booked two and got one, staff tried to assist but we had already settled down to sleep as it was late in the next day. Only paid for one I the end. ”

“A fantastic hotel, lovely staff and the food was surprisingly good! The management team deserve congratulations for moulding their staff into the lovely bunch they are. ”

“It was lovely. It was quiet and away from people, v close to local amenities and sites. The WiFi is spotty but that is no criticism, it was great to know i could just read a book without constantly checking my screen. Will definitely come again.”

“The bed was ok, clean sheets and towels but smell a bit strange, for one night after party is a good, for this price you can not complain. Is loud in there you can hear everything, they can add earplugs for every room that will be nice. Overall not that bad 😊”

“Toooooo hot in the room. No A/C available; only an old fan moving the hot air. Difficult to breathe. Very very little room, without table and chair to work (in my case) or to seat in a place different to the bed. I ask in reception to change my room; nothing else available. They took me a table and 1 chair, so I couldn't move in the room. Weak wi-fi line ”
