Lovely house

Loved the house and beautiful views from the 2nd floor. We did notice a few sugar ants on the counter in the kitchen. Hot water was lackluster. The 2 people in the upstairs bedroom & bathroom got warm showers. The showers downstairs had barely warm water at first, then went cold.

This place is just okay, wouldn’t stay again

The property management was very responsive and I give a positive review for them. The home itself is okay. If you rent this home, note that the home has TINY water heaters and you will have a hot shower for 4 minutes or less, and you will not have back to back showers. I wish I had been made aware of this shortcoming as I would not have rented this home. After a cold rainy walk on the beach hot showers for all of us would have been nice. Also, the beds are real springy and soft if that matters to you. As for cleanliness, there was actual food on the kitchen counters, fingernails on a bedroom floor, hair in the shower. The view from upstairs was beautiful, however, I will not be renting this home again.

Nice spot at the beach

The home was well maintained and had everything we hoped for on our stay in Florence. We had more than enough bedrooms and baths for our group with more than one large area for us to gather together and relax. Where the home sits gives a nice sense of privacy but is just a short walk to the beach and a short drive to nearby restaurants and activities. I would happily stay there again when visiting the area,

Beach stay

Good value. The fact that each bedroom had its own bathroom was a big plus. Beach access is close and private. The house is quite private also, with beautiful views of the ocean from the upper level. Beds were okay, not great. Blinds in oneroom were broken and could not be closed, and upstairs carpet is quite stained. Also some chairs upstairs had loose arms. But overall, we enjoyed ourselves and found we could work around the house issues.

Annual ladies crafting trip

Every year our group gets together for four days of card making and scrapbooking. This home had the perfect space for four of us to set up and visit and work on our craft. All of us love the ocean and it was an easy short walk down to the beach. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and had everything we needed. The beds were all very comfortable and we appreciated having our own space and bathrooms. We could’ve easily doubled the amount of ladies on this trip. Luke was very responsive pre-trip to answer any questions that I had in a very timely manner which I appreciated greatly. Definitely a great place to stay a larger group.

Vacay on the beach

Most of us loved the house. It is perfect for a large family with children. We called it the puzzle house as there are so many different places to hide, which entertains the kiddo. It’s a lovely location on the beach with many acres to explore and very few people. However After driving for 4 hours we were extremely disappointed when we arrived that the cleaners were still in the house.😩 We left and returned an hour later just as they we leaving. They appeared to have done a good job cleaning however the front porch was covered with small, tiny stickers that unfortunately got tracked into the house when we initially all walked in. Even though we took our shoes off before we entered, they were still getting tracked all over the floor . We found a broom and swept off the porch, which helped a little bit. When two of the family members went upstairs to go to bed, they were greeted with sand in between the sheets! The bed was made, but apparently the sheets had not been laundered. It’s late and you’re ready to go to bed, thats one thing you don’t want to find in your bed! Might be a good idea to find some new housekeepers! Overall, we really enjoyed the house and its location. The house just needs a few updates and couple of things repaired.

Great beachfront property!

Great beachfront property and great value for the price. It is an older home, but has lots of space and bedrooms/bathrooms which made for a very comfortable stay. Our kids LOVED exploring the dunes. Lots of memories made. Thank you!

Easy beach access!

This home was a wonderful place for an extended family vacation - we had 3 families staying in this home and it worked out great, especially that we each had our own bathrooms. The beach access was so easy and a really beautiful walk through the sand opening up to the gorgeous dunes and ocean! The home is simple and dated but the location really makes it stand out. A few things that could be taken care of for future guests - The toilet in the first floor bedroom on the right side was running during our whole weekend stay. The outlets on either side of this bed were not working. The blinds in the room in the left are broken and missing some pieces so there is no privacy. The fireplace hearth could use some safety tape or something to prevent tripping. Overall a pleasant stay and a beautiful beach!

Spacious house close to beach

This house was pretty close to advertised. It was clean but worn. The white towels all could have used some bleach, there was mold on the ceiling one bathroom, a dripping faucet in another, and the upstairs carpet was very badly stained. All that said, it still felt clean. It had clearly been vacuumed, cleaned and the linens freshly laundered. We were a group of 8 and stayed 4 nights and had a great time walking the beach, playing board games or reading in the sunroom, visiting the lighthouse, sea lion caves and cute town of Florence. I do think leaving more laundry detergent for the guests, and having more than 10 forks considering the house sleeps 8 would be helpful. Also, pack your own beach towels because the house didn't have any. All in all, a great location and I would recommend this house to anyone needing a 4 bedroom where everyone has their own bathroom.

Wonderful house

It's really great for a family. The walk to the beach is an easy trail. The view from upstairs is breath taking. In my opinion this house is a great deal for the price.

Beautiful Beach

It’s a great place for a large group, with enough space for everyone to find a bit of privacy. The view of the ocean from the upper rooms is gorgeous. The new barbecue was a nice surprise The house isn’t fancy but the beds were comfortable enough, plus having laundry & several bathrooms is great. Negatives are the outdated small kitchen and the lack of hot water,. Many cold showers.

Vac at the beach

Cozy beach house for a large family, plenty of room for 8 adults and children. We did bring inflatable mattress for the kids. The upstairs has 3 large rooms. Kitchen had all the equipment you need. The refrigerator is large held all our stuff from 2 families. The walk to the beach is a little steep at times but if the littles can do most adults can. It’s not fancy, could use some maintenance like 2 of the kitchen drawers almost fall out when you open, slow toilet in one room. There is 2 doors, great for unloading you vehicle. Over all we had a great time.

Beautiful Views that need better maintence

House was visually pleasing for the most part on the outside but the path to the beach was very overgrown and needed the grass trimmed back as it was very pokey to the younger members of our group. The inside was nice the bottom floor seemed very updated but the upstairs had multiple broken chairs that were missing fasteners and the walls had some pretty poor patch work done. Overall stay was still a 4/5 stars and we will stay here again.

Great beach stay

We loved how close this property is to the beach, just a short walk through the dunes. Fantastic place to watch the sunset. The property itself was roomy, though it could use a few updates. Overall a nice stay.

Almost Ruined Vacation

I have rented hundreds of properties over the years and have never had a host do what he did to us here. He never sent checkin instructions, and couldn't be reached the entire pre stay or otherwise. I had to get the vrbo people involved in reaching him to no avail. Totally stressful day heading over to the coast for an annual family gathering with no way in. Luckily the housecleaner was still cleaning and was able to leave it unlocked for us. There was no check out notes or wifi password either. The main TV in the livingroom didn't work. There were several lightbulbs out. Kitchen was not so stocked as advertised. And the beds, either too hard or too soft. Multiple carpet stains upstairs and couldn't enjoy the only yard because there were painful bush stickers littered all over the place and stuck in our shoes. Overall, we made the best of it since our alternative of not being able to get in, was to drive all the way home and spoil our whole vacation. I would never rent from this so called "professional host" ever again. I am a super renter and expect my host to live up to their claims as well. I have never had to leave a negative review in all my travels. So, if you're still considering renting this place, make sure you hear from the host in plenty of time prior to your stay and don't expect much. Location was great w/the path to the beach & the 4 bedrooms with baths fit our group of 4 couples well & bring some chairs if you want to sit outside.
