Love the aesthetics of this property and the breakfast was very good. Staff was lovely. Very communicative and easy check in and check out procedures. The vibe was very dark and cozy, which would be better if my eyesight wasn’t terrible these days. But I found a reading light over my pillow, and that helped a lot.

Enchanting and tranquil. Highly recommend. Beautifully appointed property with all of the touches to make you feel comfortable. To top it off a delicious breakfast served in a romantic courtyard. What a gem!

My wife and I loved our stay at Ottantotto in early October. The room (#5) was typical european-sized, but nicely updated. It was spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. Water pressure and the hot water supply were abundant, although we had to run the hot water for quite a while before we received any hot water if nobody in the hotel had used the hot water supply in a while. Each morning's breakfast selection was fresh and tasty. The hotel staff were exceptionally nice and helpful throughout our stay, and went above and beyond the call of duty to help us with a problem after we left the hotel! The hotel is conveniently located, and an easy walk across the Arno river into the old town and most of the sites you will visit while there. However, it is far enough away to be peaceful and quiet at night. Many choices are availble for dining in the area. If you are packing light and plan to do laundry while traveling, there is a 24 hour laundry located directly across the street from the hotel. Be advised that you'll need euros, since the credit card slot was inoperable. We'll be staying at this hotel again when we return to Florence!

This was a perfect hotel for us. It is an oasis. The rooms are charming, quiet, and removed from the bustle of Firenze. But it is also very convenient. Everyone we dealt with were exceptionally helpful and pleasant. This is what all city hotels should be like

Our second stay at Ottantotto F and we will do it again. Cab ride to airport 30 minutes. Narrow streets many cars. We like small hotels with in restricted part of Florence.

Fab boutique hotel
A small fantastic boutique hotel, tastefully renovated to keep the old character features but with some quirky modern aspects. 15 min walk to the old town but close to the Pitti palace .

We loved our stay overall. The property is beautiful and the room was very charming. The area around the hotel is easily walkable and about 15 min from central Florence. We ran into a few technical issues, mostly because there wasn't a full time employee working the front desk. Our code to get in didn't work and then our key stopped working midway through our stay. It was all easily solved but we wish everything worked well. I'd still recommend this hotel.

This was a nice property for the price. The rooms are super small, it felt like a big house with just a bunch of rooms. You open the door and take one step and it is the bed. There is also some kind of air diffuser that smelled awful. The bathroom was very nice. Overall the place was very clean. The only interaction with staff I had was when I asked the guy preparing breakfast how to check out (instructions weren’t clear). He said checkout is at 8AM, so be aware if you’re traveling out early. He let us leave our key in the room though.

Our favorite hotel on our Italy trip
The perfect Florence stay - quant and peaceful but still within walking distance of all major attractions, tours, and activities you would want to enjoy. Our room was stylish and comfortable. The courtyard is beautiful. It was an excellent stay, my only feedback to visitors is be sure to read the email/message they send you before check-in because there are essential details.

Ottantotto Firenze was in a serene location with a beautiful garden and European feel, with a room that provided a nice retreat. It was an easy and walkable distance from the Arno and the sites of Florence. The staff was kind and helpful and prepared a beautiful breakfast daily. I hope to go back one day!

The property is lovely and has been beautifully upgraded. The technology used for check-in was very smooth and easy. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. My one frustration was with the heating/cooling system. The system can only operate in heating mode or cooling mode for the whole building. We found our room to be much too warm, even if we turned the heat completely off. We had no ability to turn on the cooling system. We opened the windows for a bit to help, but city street noise made that less than ideal for sleeping. Apart from that limitation, everything else was great.

The location is in a trendier area with a younger crowd. It's about 15min walk to the city center across the bridge. There are tons of amazing restaurants (reservations are highly recommended) and gelato places near by. The interior is beautiful, with rooms that have character and modern amenities. The rooms were spacious, as were the bathrooms with waterfall showerheads, heated flooring, and towel warmers. They also provide a tasty breakfast (eggs, toast, various cheese, prosciutto/salami, juices, fruits, coffee, cakes, etc.). During covid, Jessica will help serve breakfast to reduce contact with the food. The best part is you get to enjoy the food in a beautiful tiny garden! The only thing I noticed about my room was that the AC wasn't particularly strong. It was never able to get below 23-24°C (73-75F), which was just mildly uncomfortable during our stay in the hot and humid Italian summers. The team was notified and eager to resolve the issue, but we had a short stay so didn't stay long enough to see it fixed.

Although it's quite late for me to leave a review, however this hotel stayed in my mind even a few months later. I really loved my stay here, it was so peaceful and lovely in the busy city and it was magical at night at the garden they have. The staff were so lovely and kind. My apologies I don't remember her name but she was the one who managed customers and such, nonetheless she was so sweet and kind. She helped us from getting cars to booking museums and overall having a wonderful stay. The hotel is really clean and beautiful. Thank you for having us, I really enjoyed it and I will for sure be coming back in the future. Thank you

This small and quaint home/ small hotel / B&B has great quiet location with cafes/ restaurants (& Laundry) nearby. -Wonderful light breakfast were part of the booking (November 2019). -Hosts/ staff (Linda and Andre) are wonderful and was helpful to us. -Dining space and garden for guests to eat (breakfast)/ relax was a nice retreat after touring around Florence (home away from home). -As an interior designer and artist/ carpenter we appreciate and the historical parts of the building and the decore. Must to visit (Eats): -La Menagere (cafe/ restaurant, shop + florist). -Ditta Artigianale cafe(s). -Berbere Pizzeria (Santa Croce location-limited hours during day). -Tamero (near hotel) We would stay here again!
