LA UBICACIÓN: se encuentra entre la Piazza Duomo, con la Piazza S.Marco en la esquina con la Galleria dell'Accademia, donde se guarda el David de Miguel Ángel.

(Desde el aeropuerto de Peretola se puede llegar a la propiedad en taxi o con el recientemente creado transporte público de bajo coste "Tranvia" que le llevará a la Piazza San Marco, a 4 minutos a pie de la propiedad).

El apartamento tiene 60 metros cuadrados en el cuarto y último piso de un edificio de solo 4 apartamentos con una peculiaridad importante.Tiene un ASCENSOR privado, muy útil a su llegada con sus maletas y a su regreso a casa después de haber hecho sus excursiones para descubrir. de Florencia o tal vez después de subir a la cúpula del Duomo.

MUEBLES: está amueblado con muebles de época que lo hacen cálido y acogedor, sencillo y funcional, adecuado para 2 3 4 personas, perfecto para parejas, familias, amigos, que desean vivir en una posición estratégica para poder llegar en pocos minutos caminando: Todos los principales museos, iglesias, plazas y monumentos.

INTERIORES:
Habitación con cama doble, armario y cómoda (bajo petición, la cama se puede dividir en 2 camas individuales) desde la ventana francesa hay una hermosa vista de los techos rojos característicos donde se puede ver la cúpula de Brunelleschi

HABITACIÓN con cama individual y mesita de noche. La vista de la ventana es una hermosa pintura al aire libre en las colinas de Fiesole.

SALA DE ESTAR: además de la mesa redonda de madera maciza, sillas, TV de pantalla plana, está el sofá que puede convertirse en una cama individual para 1 persona (muy cómodo para dormir: con listones de madera)

COCINA: se puede vivir con una segunda mesa rectangular extensible, sillas y está equipada con todo el equipo de cocina de acero, refrigerador, congelador, pequeños electrodomésticos, lavadora de microondas con ciclos cortos de incluso solo 15 minutos.

BAÑO - Lavabo integrado en el gabinete lacado blanco, espejo grande, inodoro, bidet y cabina de ducha.

El apartamento se encuentra a 3 minutos de la Piazza S. Marco, donde hay paradas de autobús y taxi.
La estación de S. Maria Novella está a 900 metros del apartamento y se puede llegar en 15 minutos a pie desde donde también puede tomar la Sita (Pulman) además de los trenes, que es útil para llegar a las ciudades cercanas de la Toscana.

We loved the location of this property and the view of the Duomo and Florence skyline. We were here for New Year’s Eve and got to see the fireworks across the city from multiple views from the apartment. The Accademia/David is almost next door. There is also a tramvia stop about two minutes walk which is a super cheap and easy way to get to the airport for just less than 2 euro per person! There is an elevator to get your bags up to the top floor, which is good because we easily walked down the stairs but it would have been a tough walk up! The host was very helpful with local things, especially if you have a little conversational Italian like we did. There were also some small conveniences that the host kept in the apartment and a fully stocked set of kitchen tools that were much more accessible than in some other small European apartment stays we’ve done. Highly recommend and would stay here again!

The apartment was clean and the location was great. We ended up using the heat as the apartment was cold at this time of year. I give it a 3 as they were working on the facade from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through saturday. It got very loud and the apartment was vibrating. No chance of sleeping in. I understand that upkeep is necessary however we were not aware of the work being done.I recommend contacting the host to see if the construction has been completed

Great Location

This apartment was in a great location! Best location for everything you’d want to see in Florence!! The beds were very comfortable. The large room was very roomy. The smaller room was basically a large closer, but had plenty of room for one person. Good size wardrobes in both rooms with a dresser in the large room. Very quiet neighborhood! The host was very responsive and even fixed a leak in the bathroom right away. I would highly recommend this apartment for your stay in Florence!!!

Everything and More

Actually, as I write this review, we are still staying in the apartment. Marta the owner, is very friendly, and kind. She met us at the apartment to go over everything and then left us to enjoy our vacation here in Rome. We are literally 2 blocks from the back side of the Colosseum, 3 blocks from the Forum. A great location to start the tour of Rome from. Everything can be seen in a day, which gives you plenty of time for cafe every other block or so....(if you know you know). The Beds! Did I mention the BEDs? Its like sleeping on clouds. After two weeks in other rentals in Venice and Florence, our backs are finally thanking us. Rent this place, you'll want to move in for good. Thank you Marta.

Location location location

This is our second visit here. Adriana is warm, lovely and knowledgeable and will share information as needed throughout your stay.The apartment was just what we needed. We spent little time there, opting to enjoy all that Florence offers.Adriana is lovely, an excellent host, respectful, and kind. I had not had a chance to write this review, but I wanted to thank her for everything, and what better way than publicly? It was a lovely trip. Thank you so much for everything Adriana.

Not what we expected

Could definitely use a refresh! Sheets were from the 80's. Blankets were old and scratchy. It wouldn't cost much to make it look and feel so much better. Very old interior. Uncomfortable beds. Very loud street noise all night long and then garbage and street cleaners before dawn. Not my favorite.

Construction noise/outdated apartment

Upon arrival, we noticed construction scaffolding and when we got inside the apartment, there was construction noise, but the host said they were finishing up that evening. At 9am the next morning, demolition began on the apartment adjacent to ours…tile was being hammered off the walls and breaking onto the floor. Obviously the construction wasn’t completed, and when we went next door to observe, it had a long ways to go. We notified the host about the racket and that we were finding other lodging, which we did. We requested a refund, and her answer was that she had contacted the construction company and would pay them to stop until we left (highly improbable), but no refund. We did not return. We had to pay, in cash, 150 refundable “security fee” and asked that she return that when we moved out. She would not do that and waited until 7pm the night before our paid departure date (we paid for 4 nights) to return our money. Paying twice for accommodations was not in the plan, nor was a demolition site next door. The apartment should never have been on the market with the knowledge that demolition was occuring.We were also less than charmed by the apartment as it was listed and photographed. It is outdated and in need of some major upgrades. The bedding was old and outdated, the couch in the living area well used, the shower was tiny with a rickety plastic door and mold was apparent around the bottom. It’s hard to believe this place had high ratings.

Comfortable apartment close to all sites in Florence

Adriana was really helpful in explaining everything about the apartment & elevator. The apartment is large and has everything needed for a long or short stay. The location is fantastic for access to all the sites in Florence, however the street is very noisy especially at night. I had to sleep in the back bedroom due to the noise. It was completely quiet in the back of the apartment.

Comfortable and well-appointed

The apartment is conveniently located and well appointed - there's a good range of utensils for anyone eating in. Being on the top floor, there are no footsteps overhead. Guests using the front (double) bedroom need to remember their earplugs as the noise from the street (particularly garbage collections) are 24-hour! I'd happily return there.

Location, Location, Location

Charming elevator building, 4th floor apartment with two bedrooms. Adriana was very kind and helpful. The shower is a bit small, but it worked fine. Even though the building is quite old, the decor has a mid-20th Century charm. Around the corner from the Statue of David, it couldn’t be more convenient. We found terrific restaurants , a pharmacy within a block, a grocery store around the corner, and a cafe that was charming just around the corner.

7 perfect days in Florence

Alfani House was perfect in every way. The accommodation is clean and well equipped. The location is within walking distance of all the major attractions. The host was very pleasant, helpful and responsive to our calls. Adriana was most helpful securing a cab upon departure when cabs were hard to find. She went above and beyond.

Great location!

This apartment is clean and very convenient to all of the hotspots in Florence. You can walk everywhere! The host was lovely and quick to respond to messages. There was a heat wave while we there so it was difficult for the air conditioning to keep up but even the locals said it was unseasonably hot.

Great area, but not worth it in the summer

Adriana’s place was in a fantastic area for seeing some of the top attractions in Florence. Everything is within walking distance. Adriana was responsive, but unable to fix some of our concerns. If we had come at another time of year, we might give a different review. However, temperatures were around 100 degrees F. The description said it had air conditioning. There were 2 units- one in the kitchen and one in the living area. The kitchen worked fair at best, but the living area didn’t. And nothing reached the bedrooms. After informing the host about this, she had a technician come to check it but said it couldn’t be fixed. She gave us ice to use with a fan/humidifier unit, but it didn’t help. We had to open the windows at night (temps still in the 80’s, but cooler than inside). Street noise was disrupting with trash trucks coming at very early hours. After walking outside in those temps, we needed a place to come to to relax and cool down, and we couldn’t. After reading some other reviews, it seems like we weren’t the only ones who’ve experienced this. It needs to be fixed. The unit was overall clean but the shower had some mold issues. Nothing is really new or updated if you’re looking for that- personally, I don’t care as long as things work and it’s clean and comfortable. We had to wait out in the heat for the host to meet us to let us in. Adriana was friendly, just unable to meet our needs.

Excellent Location

The location was very nice, it was close to restaurants and sights. It seemed like a true old Italian home. There was a lot of street noise from the front rooms but the single bedroom in the back was nice and quiet for our daughter. The only issue was lots of dust from the construction on the street and the remodel next door and some mold in the bathroom.
