“The staff were all very good but at times a little pushed to see to everything. Our room was roomy but not particularly clean, cobwebs on windows, dirt and dusty skirting and all areas upon high had a good layer of dust. One bulb out at bedside and marks on wall and skirting that could be wiped off. Bed linen and towels were clean and soft. Shower and sink clean but toilet was not!!!
Passage way to and from dining room smelt of cooking grease all the time that would suggest extractor filters...

“Situated in a lovely area of the Sussex Downs this small country pub provided ideal accommodation for our visit to Glyndbourne. Clean, simple but well appointed accommodation, with a good breakfast provided in the morning. Long Man Best Ale in cask available at the bar, which was a treat.”

“Room was TINY. Smelt of toilets and woken by multiple church bells at 5 am. No staff at breakfast time. Cereal and toast. Wouldn’t stay here again. Not worth the money.”

“The room is beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Helpful staff and was able to hire us a car to pick us up at the train station. Great breakfast and dinner, highly recommended. ”

“We had a lovely stay in the Beacon View accommodation. It has a back deck with a superb view so we were disappointed it rained for the whole time lol. Perfect spot for exploring the South Downs National Park, or hopping to Lewes, or like us a day trip to Drusillas Zoo....”
