  • Glass Beach is a beach in MacKerricher State Park near Fort Bragg, California, that is abundant in sea glass created from years of dumping garbage into an area of coastline near the northern part of the town. Once upon a time the sand was coated in brightly colored bits of sea glass, and social media is full of photos that make it look as if the sand still looks that way, but that isn't the case. Over the years the public has raided the beach of much of its glass. Now at first look, some might say it looks like any other ordinary beach. Yes you can still find glass here, but you have to look for it, and most of colored glass is long gone. It all makes for a fun little treasure hunt however! We had a great stay at this tiny house. It was small but very comfortable and had everything we needed. The space was thoughtfully set up and felt cozy and welcoming.The host provided amazing recommendations and helpful info on things to do in the area, which made our trip even better. The location was perfect, and the town itself was so fun with incredibly friendly people everywhere we went.We truly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend.

Small & cute but equipped with all necessities. My husband and two young adult children loved that it was walkable to late night eats and a beach. It was convenient to take our puppy out as well. Very quiet place and it felt safe. Looking forward to staying here again.

We had a great time staying at the Boat House. It had the amenities we needed (linens, toiletries, cleaning, cooking), and the location was fantastic right on the water. There was enough space for my family to comfortably hang out, cook, eat, and play games, and the environment was relaxing. Would stay again!

Beautiful Boathouse on the Harbor

What a great location! Step outside to sea lions, fishing boats and beautiful scenery. Princess Seafood right next door and the BEST clam chowder I’ve ever had. This place couldn’t be more convenient and interesting. The cleanliness and cozy vibes were perfect. Even though there are several houses in the area, it felt remote and peaceful. Loved all of it. My dogs enjoyed the walks on the pier and the cool weather.

Great location and view

The location and property are amazing. The view of the sunset off of the deck was fantastic. Tiny house had everything you needed. It was a great spot to have my dog, the beach is in easy walking distance and all the other trails in Mendocino along the coast are easy to get to. Also nice to have lunch and dinner options in easy walking distance.

Perfect location, cozy home

The boat house was the perfect size for me and my husband and our teen daughters. It allowed them their own space, but still kept us all together. They loved being right on the dock and watching the sea lions go by and the waves in the distance. The house had everything we needed and was close to great restaurants and coffee shops.

Small package, big prize

We loved our time at the Boat House. The place was immaculate and well-appointed with all the necessities. The location is amazing, right on a pier next to the water. The highlight was spotting some seals swimming right in front of the house. Great little place to get away to.

Tiny House, Big Fun

We loved this little house right on the wharf....watching the boats go in and out....watching it rain. Our first night was a little uncomfortable. The heat wouldn't come on, and the blower wouldn't go off. So, it was a little too cold and a little too noisy. We called and Jeff (I think) said he would come the next morning. He did, and brought a little space heater. He found the part needed and fixed the furnace. Very nice guy. Toasty warm, and quiet the rest of our stay. It was so awesome to be ON the wharf!!! Loved it!!

Just the perfect place.

We loved our time here! We hope to visit again! We loved the beds. SOOOO comfortable. Super Clean and next to a ton of wonderful places to eat. We love this place and plan on returning soon!
