Whether exploring the forest or sitting in the garden, you’ll enjoy a peaceful retreat with the amenities of home. When you’re ready to adventure, drive just 10 minutes to Glass Beach, the Botanical Gardens, downtown Fort Bragg, the Skunk Train, or Noyo Harbor, and 15 minutes to Mendocino or several state parks. This cozy cottage surrounded by stunning redwoods had everything anyone could want….well stocked kitchen, great laundry, fabulous shower with unending hot water, comfortable and adequate bedding, lots of room for everyone due to great “open concept,” and wonderful early evening visitors (local deer) to entertain us….the close proximity to Fort Bragg makes it very easy to accomplish any visitor’s day excursions …we absolutely loved our stay….having the hosts right next door is an added bonus

Beautiful place with a lovely back yard. The pillows were amazing! And they have a seated shower as well as a traditional one. Would definitely stay again!!!

This little place was amazing for our family of 4. The kids slept on sleeping bags & the futon. The house was amazing & clean. There was a great coffee station, so important. Clean & comfortable bed and towels. A nice backyard area for the kids to run around and close to Ft. Bragg for our family adventures.

This home is close to town, yet secluded enough to feel like a private getaway. It’s beautifully surrounded by forest, where we got to watch deer in the backyard on multiple occasions. The kitchen was well stocked for our cooking needs and the host offered very organized, detailed guides on enjoying the area. We enjoyed our stay!

Fabulous. Host was great, so helpful. Location was wonderful. Second time I stayed here. Loved seeing the deer in the yard. This cottage has everything you need for your stay.

It's a diamond in the rough. Wonderful environment. I loved the handicapped feature. The host responded timely with issues. The deer in the yard a bonus. Close to everything. Well equipped and had everything we needed. We felt very at home. A good value and I would come again.

This house surpassed my hopes and expectations. We shared a cozy, comfortable, lovely time as a family even in the midst of heavy storms and power outages. We were well taken care of while also having our privacy respected and the house had everything we needed. It was clean and well cared for, and the surrounding property is absolutely gorgeous and also well cared for. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time in this lovely, comfortable cottage. The host was thoughtful and even provided a birthday cupcake upon arrival for one of our family members whose birthday occurred during our stay! The bed and futon were comfortable, the kitchen nicely equipped with everything we needed to make meals, and the location was secluded yet very close to Fort Bragg and the many beaches and parks in the area. Highly recommend!

Fabulous, superb, wonderful n

This cottage is so wonderful with lots of space, beautiful surrounding forest, everything in the kitchen you could possible want, very close to Fort Bragg, short distance to Mendocino, and I really liked the 3 deer that came to see me off when I was getting ready to leave. Christine, the host, was so great. This is the best VRBO I have stayed in.

The property was a minute or two off the main drag so traffic noise was minimal. The property had beautiful green space around it with some redwoods, flowering bushes and a small outdoor patio attached to the cottage. It had a nice lawn and yard and deer wandered through a couple different times. Communication was effective and efficient with the host. The cottage was tidy, very comfortable with a large sky light in the spacious bathroom so it was nice and bright. We did utilize the washer and dryer in a very adequate and clean laundry room adjacent to the bathroom.We rode the Skunk Train in the Presidential Car, walked the shoreline and glass beach area, took a drive to quaint Mendocino.We stayed there April 24 and 25, 2026

Quiet cottage

The cottage is very pleasant, clean and well-organized. Christine has thought of everything including a binder to help you plan your stay. It is decorated very tastefully, not garage sale furniture. We will return to this cottage.

Awesome little in-law house

They were very accommodating and the little treats and stickers were really appreciated. Super nice little house on the main houses property to rent. Great for small family. Our son loved it

The cottage is so very clean. Every room is comfortable and nicely decorated. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare a meal and all the dishes and utensils to serve on. The cottage is stocked with coffee, teas, and creamers. Christine is amazing, you need anything she is quick to respond. The cottage is located in the redwoods and the property is beautiful. My husband and I will always book our stay here.

Wow! Clean cozy comfortable. This place was perfect. Close to town. Close to beach and forest. Host had everything just right in this place. Notes on everything you needed to know about. My wife, granddaughter, and i had a great stay. Deer in the back yard was exciting. Definitely coming back.

A great homebase

Our family stayed at this well-stocked home while we explored Mendocino and Ft Bragg, specifically The Skunk Train. The host has thought of everything you could possibly need during a stay. It turned out the Queen bed was just too small for us (our fault) so sleep was rough, but my toddler loved sleeping on the futon!
