My son got married nearby, so his sister and I picked this spot for our downtime. Absolutely perfect! Comfortable, stocked with fresh eggs and coffee (even a brita full of water in the fridge), clean and quiet. Danny and Dee are incredibly accommodating and take pride in this little spot. If a rooster waking you up or chickens clucking around the yard aren’t for you, this might not be your spot. I loved it all. And only about a ten minute easy drive to town for food, groceries, shopping. Can’t wait to go back!

Danny and Dee are wonderful hosts! Their cottage is immaculate! It is thoughtfully appointed with great attention to the needs and wants of their guests. The bed is comfortable and has nice linens. They included many special touches to make our stay fabulous! We were fortunate to meet them both and they are wonderfully engaging! We could not have enjoyed our visit any more. Don’t hesitate to book. They are terrific hosts!

We loved this adorable place! It was perfect for two of us. The place was spotless, and the bed was super comfortable. The decor is minimal but intentional and so well done—even with live plants to make it feel homey. The back porch was a dream. We had coffee (even cream and sugar provided!) there in the mornings with the fire going, enjoying the serene view with a peek of the mountains and the calm surroundings (all of the homes have lots of land). We were woken up by some wandering chickens outside the window one morning, but that’s part of the charm. We couldn’t believe how close we were to downtown Ft. Collins and then only an hour from RMNP and a half hour from an awesome hike (Greyrock) suggested by the hosts where we saw a bear (twice)! We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Please note that you do have to get out of your car to open and close the gate to the property when you come and go, but it’s not a big deal.

Long weekend in Fort Collins

Our stay with Danny and Dee was wonderful. The property was as described in the listing and they are excellent hosts. Spending mornings on the patio drinking coffee and watching the chickens was awesome. Thanks again for sharing your special location with us.

Absolutely Wonderful

We stayed at The Colorado Modern Cabin on our way home from a month-long roadtrip. We tent-camped most of the way so this was an incredible, luxurious, refreshing stay for us. We visited Rocky Mountain National Park, which was 1 hour away, and we only drove 4 or 5 minutes to get groceries. The cabin had absolutely everything we needed. The kids loved playing with/petting Amigo the dog, Rosie the cat, and the new baby chicks! My husband and I enjoyed a cozy fireside chat on the back porch with a beautiful, clear view of the starry sky. Everything was very clean and homey feeling. Owners were available and willing to help with anything. Thank you so much, Danny and Dee!

Perfect spot

We greatly enjoyed our stay. This property is in a great location—easy to get to Old Town, City Park, Horsetooth Reservoir, the Poudre River—but also quiet & has a rural feel. Bonus, the owners provided delicious farm fresh eggs (in this economy!!) & some local beers. We would happily stay again!

Perfect Stay!

Needed a place for my wife and I to stay while visiting our daughter at CSU. 7 minutes to campus. Radiant heat flooring, propane fire pit looking west at mountains and sunset, and perfectly clean home. Great hosts! Thank you!

The best dreamy VRBO ever!!!

Words cannot express the absolute perfection of this rental. From the ease of check in to the super clean home, it was amazing. The owners are just outstanding and Amigo just warmed our hearts. I was hesitant leaving such a great review bc I want this place to be available during my visits. If I could have given it more than 5 stars, I definitely would!

Bucolic and heavenly

I live in Silicon Valley CA and I’ve been to Fort Collins many times before, but this trip was especially memorable as I was able to stay in this lovely cabin and have my two sons visit me. What a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of where I live. I can’t wait to return for my next visit! So grateful to the gracious hosts for creating such a lovely, relaxing experience.

Ideal location

We stayed here for three nights and it was the ideal location for our needs. It was close to the state parks as well as the downtown area. It feels like you're halfway in the country and the city. The hosts were friendly and the entire check-in/check-out process was a breeze with good communication. They have thought of nearly everything to make your stay comfortable and inviting. The entire place was immaculately clean and I'm picky. We loved having fresh eggs for breakfast and watching the chicken wonder around the yard. The kitchen is stocked with most any item you'd need to prepare meals for yourself. There is no bathtub, but we didn't need on. The walk-in shower is large and comfortable. The bed is on the firm size, but not too hard. There were plenty of towels, pillows, and blankets. I was afraid the cement floor would be cold until I realized that the floors are heated! I would definetly stay here again.

Ideal for two people! Amazing radiant heat kept us warm the whole time when it was 25 degrees outside. Very light and bright with big windows and in a quiet neighborhood! Even had coffee and cream for us! Highly recommend!!
