The neighborhood is nice and the room is cozy separated from the house, there is a lot to park your car. The pool area is quiet and has some places to relax like a sofa and tables to eat outside of the room .Ray is a great host always willing to help you. I had a great stay in Oakland Park and I recommend it.

Ray the host was very welcoming and very accommodating. Even before we got to his place we got a little lost and Ray was on the phone with us helping us with directions. Once we arrived we saw it was a one bedroom with a queen size bed which worked great for both of us. There was also a nice portable fan we were able to use for air conditioning throughout the night. There was a place in the closet if you enjoy a nice cup of tea. Once morning came around we got to see the backyard and the in ground pool which was incredible. Throughout our stay we got to talk and spend time with Ray and his two cute poodles which was a delight. Over all my friend and I would definitely recommend Rays place in Fort Lauderdale. Hope you have a wonderful stay as we did.

The host, Ray was very welcoming and nice even invited us to join him for breakfast. We ended up sleeping in that morning though . The room was clean and nicely decorated. The pool area looks quite relaxing as well. I came down with a cold so we did not swim.

Dogs always barking

The place is clean. Pretty accurate description online. The room is tiny. However, the owner’s dogs were constantly barking. We left after the first night. He refused on refunding us any money.

Solid Stay in Ft Lauderdale

Overall, a solid stay. There were a few issues to start, as some of the advertised "kitchen" items were not in the room as promised. But a message to Ray was answered quickly and the items brought over. The place was super clean, great bathroom area, and the pool area was lovely. Do note that the room itself is small/the bed is a large portion of the space - if you have mobility limitations, this may not be the place for you. Also, note that while there is a fridge/microwave, it's in a closet area and there is not a lot of room for using it/prepping food around it. It was ok for us, as we just needed it for small snacks/breakfast items, but just be aware of that for planning purposes.

Nice little spot near Ft. Lauderdale

The owner very friendly and approachable, and we appreciated his hospitality. The property is in a quiet, safe neighborhood with a fantastic pool, which we really enjoyed. The interior was perfect and met our needs. However, a few minor issues impacted our stay: the A/C was controlled by the owner, the auto lock was irritating, and the WiFi wasn’t working and couldn’t be resolved during our visit. With a few adjustments, this property could be an excellent choice for future stays.

BEWARE! The house was a small house in an older community. When we walked into the house we walked into in a very small bathroom. The one door led into a single bedroom. The bedroom was the resort. It had one double bed, which took up much of the room. The advertised refrigerator was a tiny one, along with a microwave which were located in the closet, where they were unusable. There was nowhere to store clothes. There was a small pool behind the house, but the owner said that we used it, the house would become a resort, and we would have to pay a fee. We slept in the bed the first night, but when my wife went to take a shower in the morning, she found the shower filled with roaches. We called the owner to fix it, but when we returned that night, the roaches were still there. We packed our things, and left. I called the owner and asked for a refund, however he didn't believe about the roaches, and refused to give us a refund. We shouldn't have stayed there at all. We have traveled the world and this one of the worst experiences that I have ever had. We only stayed one night at the roach hotel

Excellent little hidden gem

The host Ray was great! Down to earth mellow guy. Even gave me and my partner some spirits by the pool. The pool itself was excellent and the little cabana was a great touch. The small little critique would be the central air does not stay on overnight, so it got a little uncomfortable and warm a few nights in the room. Other than that an excellent place to stay! Highly recommended this place

Exactly what I was hoping for!

I needed a room to stay while I was visiting family. The room was perfect and I had full access to the pool and my own small patio with private entrance. Ray was very helpful and always responded quickly when I needed anything.

Hidden Gem in South Florida

All I can say is WOW! Ray and Gavin are fabulous hosts! Extremely knowledgeable and a lot of fun. The property was exactly as described. The highlights for us were the pool and lanai. It felt like a hidden, tropical oasis. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept it, and the shower was perfect after long days in the sun and sand. Thank you so much, we loved our stay!

Enjoyed Our Visit

Room was very comfortable as well as the bed. Great shower. Owners were always there to answer any questions. Yard was beautiful with pool and cabana. Wish we could have enjoyed it more but spent most of time with family.

Nette Gastgeber, traumhafte kleine Oase

Wir hatten tolle Tage bei ray und gaven. Alles sauber, sogar neue Fahrräder stellen sie zur Verfügung. Die Außenanlagen hatten wir für uns alleine und ist ein Traum. Man ist allerdings weit weg vom Schuss und braucht Auto oder man muss radeln. Was in der schönen Umgebung nicht schwer fällt.

Our first VRBO experience
