One of the golf carts (which are on their last legs) had a flat upon our arrival; unable to use until our 3rd day. Master bedroom curtains have holes . Living room curtains drag about 12" on floor which was super dirty. I walked barefoot in the condo one morning and was left with black feet. The cushions & pillows on the patio couch are FILTHY & stained so we never used it. The markings on the electric stove are gone so you have no idea what you're setting the burners at. The sofa is also in desperate need of a cleaning. This was, without question, our worst experience in Destin out of the 14 times we've come here. It was also the most expensive. Definitely not worth what we spent; we do not recommend.

Horrible experience. Pulled blanket back on master bed and there was black hairs all over the sheet. There was a mouse or rat that chewed a hole in my carry on bag and ate candy that was in bag. Maintenance set traps, never caught rodent. Turner on dishwasher and it leaked all over kitchen. Maintenance discovered the rodent had chewed through hoses. Outdoor furniture had moldy cushions so we were unable to use. Place was not clean and desperately needs updates and thorough cleaning.

Nice location

I don’t recommend this condo.King bed was very uncomfortable. A mattress topper was added and it was way too soft. The queen mattress was much better so sleep on that one. Kids said the bunk mattress were awful. I’ve never been so happy to get back home to my own bed. The shower drain was clogged when we arrived and there was a note basically saying we needed to clean the drain ourselves before calling for help and that was disgusting. The grill was filthy and grill tools needed replaced long ago. The entire place needs thoroughly mopped and carpet removed from stairs. There is very little options for food storage containers. We left a bunch of supplies for the next person such as foil, paper towels…Using the air fryer will trip the breaker as the electrical wiring is not updated. The green golf cart is junk and needs replaced. The battery would not hold a charge and was worked on several times during our stay. Do not rent this place is you are hoping for 2 golf carts. This resort is my favorite place to stay in Destin. Condo has plenty of space, great air conditioning, good washer and dryer, great view out the back door for watching fireworks, very fun fishing and watching the turtles. Communication with the property managers was a little chaotic as there are multiple people trying to help. They are quick to initially respond but not good with updates which is sort of understandable if they are also helping many other guests.

Convenient to Conference Center

We came due to a work conference at the bay view conference center. It was very convenient to be able to take the golf cart to and from the convention center and subsequent social events. It was clean and a nice view.

Quick Getaway

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Loved the location. Golf cart made it easy to get around. My daughter loved getting to ride around and explore on the golf cart. Check in and check out convenient and easy. The beach access for the property is very crowded. The unit was updated and clean. Loved the layout. The listing stated updated walk in showers but the pics showed tub/shower combos. There are in fact updated walk in showers in both bathrooms. It was not well stocked. There were no extra blankets or pillows. There is storage space at the condo so having extra items such as beach chairs, umbrella and beach toys would be a plus. It is difficult to pack these type of items on a trip as they take up a lot of space. A keurig in the kitchen would be nice. There is a coffee maker. There were some cosmetic flaws and some of the furniture needed some work. We didn't use the top bunk because the ladder was coming apart at the bottom. Some of the dining table chairs were a little wobbly. There were a few maintenance issues that I reported at the end of our stay. I recommend this unit just be aware to bring extra blankets/pillows, hair dryer, beach items, etc.

Great Vacation!

This is the 2nd time we have stayed in Bayou Village. This stay was so much fun with having 2 golf carts! It just made it more fun following each other through the streets of Sandestin. Loved our stay and will be booking this room again next year!

Great location

This property was perfect for our family of 6. Pictures are accurate and exactly what you'll get. The screened in porch was our favorite spot to chill. Golf cart was a great plus! We would stay again for sure.

Family Vacation

Location and Golf Cart were the highlights

We loved the location, view from our screened in porch, and use of a golf cart. We felt the property was lacking in decent linens (towels are threadbare and rough to dry off with), beds and its linens were not luxurious in any way, master bed was uncomfortable. It needs more fixtures for toilet paper, paper towels and a place to hang your drying bath towels. The kitchen is under stocked. We needed an ice cream scoop, a cheese grater, oven mitts, and more pots. Also, it was great to have a washer/dryer but during the spin cycle, the washer was so loud we couldn’t hear each other speak. We just felt like this place needs a little TLC to make it more comfortable for its guests. If some of those concerns are addressed, it would be a way more comfortable stay.

Better than expected stay and can’t wait to come back!

This property had everything we needed and more. The kids loved the golf cart rides on the beautiful property and access to the beach was easy with the underground tunnel. Kids finally forgot about their electronics because they were more interested in fishing. It was so relaxing to sit in the back patio, sip coffee, hear the soothing sounds of the water falling. We enjoyed the scenic back yard view. Shower area downstairs was perfect for rinsing off the beach sand. Plenty of space for a family of 8. Washer and dryer came in very handy. Everyone on the property was neighborly. Pools were very clean and not too crowded. We had one maintenance issue which was addressed very quickly. Overall it was a great experience and we definitely plan on coming back here!

Enjoyable Quiet Stay Despite Crowds

Very crowded weekend but enjoyable family time. Bayou Village is a great, quiet neighborhood on the Bayside which gave us an out from crowds at beach and Baytown. Golf cart was quick, too - love being clocked at 23 in a 23!!
