“I stayed two nights and truly enjoyed it. The location was great, the owners friendly and cooked excellent breakfast. The dining room had a wonderful view of the lake. My room faced the hill, which was fine with me, as there were no lights or road noise. Perfect!”

“It’s a great place in a wonderful location.”

“This is a fabulous cottage right in the middle of the highlands. Perfect location for a quiet stay amid beautiful surroundings that match the charm of the cottage. Rooms are tidy, spacious and comfortable, and have a unique character which really added to our stay. A generous breakfast is served in a beautiful room downstairs by attentive staff. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention how helpful and courteous the entire staff was. All in all, highly recommended!”

“We were met by our host at approximately 8 pm on the first night of our stay. We had provided an approximate time beforehand to help. We were then given the tour, which was extremely helpful. We loved the room - so clean and spacious with en-suite and the sea view was breathtaking. The new bath was very much welcomed, although we just used the superb walk-in shower provided during our stay. There were nice additional touches in the room, e.g. some whiskey to sample, tooth picks, cotton...

“We picked this place because it had excellent ratings. My experience was: Very difficult to unload car on an incredibly tight road. I had a heated row with a local resident who was very aggressive. The parking which was at a public viewing point was up a steep hill about 400 meters away. The bathroom was not cleaned well with unpleasant marks in the toilet, dusty bin lids etc. cobwebs and dirt on window. House was run down and very outdated. Walk into town was about 12 minutes down steep...

“From the very start this was a lovely stay. A wonderful warm welcome, beautifully presented property in an outstanding location. Spacious comfy rooms with everything catered, including complimentary whisky to settle in and look at the view. Great dinner and wine list. Loved it.”

“Absolutely stunning place!!! The rooms are huge, the property itself is simply breath taking. Staff are the best!!! A must-stay when visiting the highlands.”

“Room was very clean and spacious Bed and pillows were very comfortable Settee also in room so could sit comfortably Plenty of hot drink sachets Breakfast was unavailable during our stay so unable to comment- we were informed though Toilet cistern was slow fill and quite noisy Would stay again”

“The big nitpick for is lack of parking. Unless you're strictly staying overnight and leaving first thing in the morning you have to pay. It's kind of cheap but it's the principle of already paying for a room.”

“Trots rökfritt rum så luktade rummet och sängkläderna rök my ket rök. Det var rent i övrigt. Personalen trevlig.”
