“The bathroom was very dated. It looked like a nursing home. The flooring was extremely old. The bed was too low. Only one bath towel for 2 people. It was definitely not up to standard for a Hub. The staff was friendly and made you feel welcomed. But this hotel needs serious renovations. ”

“We felt that the hotel offered very good value for money for a short few hour stay on route to our destination. It is true to say the hotel was full of charcter and one could easily imagine how beautiful it was in its heyday.... however time has clearly taken its toll. It seemed to have a variety of characters staying there..... Certainly one may feel vulnerable in the sirrounding area.... but the car park was close and included in the cost of the room. We have no complaints whatsoever. ...

“Excellent communication from host & easy check in with key lock. Room was spacious & comfortable for our family of 4. The only negative was that we hadn’t realised that bathroom would be downstairs, which resulted in the kids being a bit anxious about going on their own, as it’s a shared house and they weren’t comfortable wandering around the house on their own with strangers. Not a problem for the adults, but the kids weren’t comfortable. ”

I rarely leave reviews up to this point but was left feeling like this 'apartment' is a room in a multi occupancy house and it felt a bit.....what's the right word......DHSS ish. I didn't use the communal kitchen as someone in there was, well a bit weird, looking disturbed. I just think I was looking for cheap and cheerful. It was cheap. ”

“Excellent cottage, clean,comfortable and homely, many people would be upset because of lack of phone signal or internet but made it for me real peace and quiet, Excellent kitchen is well equipped with pots pans,cutlery, drink making facilities, and the views from the cottage are outstanding. ”

“So i suppose the price for a night isnt bad, but when youre expecting a whole apartment aslisted and there are others there, its not so great. Stood outside door for 20mins. Not easy to get key via access code( no email before) 2 towels for 3 people, 1 was damp, 1 had a brown 'stain' on it. Bedding old and worn. Headboards dubiously stained!!!!”

“I did not use restaurant. Although i did use Latte coffee machine 👌. Room was comfortable, bed extremely so👌. All room facilities were great. Staff very friendly & helpful. As a solo traveler i felt safe. Parking the only issue due to its proximity to Trentham Garden, restaurants & shops. People openly parking in hotel parking spaces & walking over to the shops. ”
