Very nice place. Asked the owner to get in a little early because our fishing trip for the day was ruined by rain. They were very accommodating and let us in a couple hours early!!

Christmas Vacation

Spent our Second Christmas here. Nice house, nice owners, plenty of space and quiet. Owners respond quickly, plenty of dishes & space. Beds are okay. Would return again.

Relaxing

everything was good landscaping could have been cleaned up and mowed and there was a very noticeable smell in bathroom and parts of the house that smelled like sewer or drainage problems. But other than that it was very comfortable with a nice kitchen with all kind of cookware the bed were comfortable and the shuffle board table was really enjoyable would highly recommend this place

Thank you to owner for immediately responding to all questions. First impression of property were questionable and had difficulty with initial door opening but house was very clean, comfortable, had everything listed, and great location for our use. Would stay again.

Cabin get away

Appreciated full kitchen with LOTS of dishes/ pots & pans, A/C, Wi-Fi & TV. Didn’t like musty smell overall, periodic sewer gas smell.

a little disappointed

The description said 2 bathrooms and it was only 1 mile to the marina. Not true. Expensive boat rentals/bait..etc... No boats available until I had to beg to have one for our trip...Should have booked a house boat, however, we still had a good time. Not worth the price. Wish I found something better for cheaper.

Birthday Weekend

We want to first start off by saying we really did have an enjoyable weekend because we were together as a family and that is what really mattered! However, if you could address the following for future customers: 1. The water pressure was horrible, couldn’t showers because of the very poor water pressure it would’ve taken forever just to get shampoo out of hair. 2. Loved the shuffleboard but uneven so if you played on the one side you always won. 3. It made us all very uneasy to see the garage closed up the way that it was and the black tarp over the windows it gave it a very uneasy feeling for us while in the home along with the code/lock in bathroom. Maybe just explain why it is locked for the bathroom at least our assumption was this is maybe where you held supplies and it still was an easy feeling for all of us.

Peidmont Lakehouse Cabin

Our stay was nice. Can clearly see that the owners are working on updates and what has been done is very nice. The pictures were deceiving. It looks like the fire ring is on the lake which is not the case. The owners did have a nice starter fire ready in the fire ring in the front-side yard. The lake is a 5 min drive away. We were a bit disappointed by the misrepresentation. Although the area was quiet, we had neighbors on all sides. For the price, if you have a boat, it would be a great home base.

Early Fall Fishing Cabin

Excellent location -- approximately one mile drive to Piedmont Lake Marina. Kitchen is well equipped -- everything needed to prepare meals. Open layout of family/living room and kitchen provides a spacious space. Bedrooms and bathroom are fine, but they are not as current as the open area. Lock instructions suggestion -- use # key to unlock the door and hold it to lock the door.

Could have been a lot better, but at least it had shuffleboard.

It was very dirty, smelled like stale cigarette smoke, and all of the dishes were dirty in the cabinets. There was no soap and only half a roll each of paper towels and toilet paper. On the plus side there is a wide selection of shot glasses available and a shuffleboard table. Overall you’d be better off renting a room in a $60 a night motel.

Lots of updates, still some older parts of house

Great location for the area, and the communication with the property manager was good (using the VRBO app). There are parts of the house that have obviously been updated, and parts that obviously haven't been yet. Perfect little house for hanging out at the lakes and visiting salt fork. Ideal for using the house as a home base for meals / sleeping. When we stayed, there was an issue where the water stopped working. Thankfully the property manager was able to swing by the house and fix the issue within a couple of hours. Thankfully it was just a bad breaker.
