What a great Rental

I have been vacationing at Stonewall Jackson Lake for 25 years. This has to be one of the most breathtaking views! The owners are awesome! They took great care in answering questions. It truly felt like home away from home!

Mothers day girls weekend away

This place is exactly what we needed for a girls weekend away. Nice cozy cabin. Excellent fire ring for a campfire. Hot tub set up is very nice. The property is beautiful, and there is a lot of wildlife around. The ponds on the property are really nice, containing lots of fish, frogs, tadpoles, salamanders, and other critters. Overallan excellent place!!.

The most beautiful view!

Gorgeous view of WV mountains! Great hot tub, game and dvd selection! Everything you need in and more in the kitchen! Don’t be alarmed by the natural gas smell. We were unfamiliar with how natural gas smelled when we first arrived, but Dustin was prompt to explain. Wonderful stay if you want to disconnect from the busy-ness of life!

Best ever. Amazing Cabin

The hosts, Kay and Dustin have gone above and beyond providing a restful relaxing experience in their comfy secluded cabin. Bed was wonderful. Frig had a door full of condiment including great fresh eggs. Spices, coffee. The kitchen was just wonderful. Even though our first 3 days and nights it rained, which sounded delightful on the metal roof, we had a fabulous fire with the wood they provided (at a small cost) along with hot dog sticks, fire starter and fire starter cubes to get that wood going. We saw deer the last 2 mornings and turkeys roaming just beyond the deck. The hot tub was lit beautiful for both daytime and nighttime soaks!!!! They even had robes. It was sad to leave but feeling refreshed. Thank you Kay and Dustin.

Disappointed

The property is very nice and the view was beautiful, but the hot tub broke an hour after arriving. Was really looking forward to looking at the mountains while enjoying the HotTub. The ponds thatvwere supposed to have fish were EMPTY, not water, but no fish. On the last day there was a smell that almost had us ready to leave. Owner said they didnt smell it when they arrived, but we ALL did.

It was very beautiful and relaxing. Very remote. Watched the deer and turkeys from deck. Would highly recommend, if looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation.
