Getting there was an adventure, since we came up through Red River Gorge and cut over on Rt 77, encountering a single lane tunnel that in the early evening light that, at first, looked like we were driving into a rock wall.
The only non-5 star rating I gave this place was for the neighborhood, as most residents on Amos Ridge Rd seem to prefer to keep every auto they've ever owned in their front yard and you have to keep your eyes peeled for a wandering dog or two. That's not this property owners fault though, and once you get to the cabin you're relatively secluded, despite being right off the road.
The back porch is very secluded with awesome old-timey party lights and a simple yet comfortable hot tub that was perfect after a day of driving through mountains and rain. My only suggestion for the back area is maybe add some solar ground lighting around the edge of the tree line to brighten it up a bit.
Inside the cabin is really where this property shines. The 3 kids stayed in the room with the bunks and a queen, and slept very well. This room has it's own spacious bathroom with a tub.
The master has a queen as well, but has plenty of space for a king. I would definitely suggest upgrading this to the property management, as my wife and I fought over space most of the night. It would have been great to have bathroom access that the kids did, but unfortunately the master only has the smaller hallway bathroom to utilize.
Main room and kitchen were modern, clean, and comfy!
