Our family of 5 really enjoyed our stay at Moondance. Cabin was very clean and had many of the supplies needed for a short stay. (Paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soaps. Hot tub was very nice and warm. Great on a cool night or after a day of hiking. Brad was great to work with and sent great info about the area and the cabin. Red River Gorge and most restaurants are at least 40-50 minutes for cabin so be prepared with some food. Well stocked kitchen but pots and pans could use an upgrade. The view was gorgeous. Very peaceful. There are only a handful of homes/cabins on the gravel road back to the cabin. Be prepared, there are some rough older homes/trailers with lots of trash and old cars on the way back to the cabin. Lots of winding roads in the area. The only downside that I can mention about the cabin is the sheets on the master weren’t great and kept coming off. The pillows also need an upgrade so I’d recommend bringing them from home. Additionally, we had some trouble with the fireplace. My husband was able to get it lit but he had to mess with it for about 10 minutes to do so. The cabin was stocked with some games and puzzles. We had dinner on the balcony a few nights. It was beautiful and peaceful. We ate at Toad’s Barn & Grill. Would highly recommend on a nice day. We also had La Cabana in Slade and it was delicious! I would definitely recommend this cabin and the area.

This cabin was the best of cabins we've reserved through VRBO. Clean, well stocked and it just made us happy! Appreciated the layout of the cabin with the kitchen and living area being in the center and two bedrooms with full baths being on opposite ends. Loved the fire pit, star gazing and hot tub. Gravel road to the cabin was well marked and the owner gave great tips on navigating to the cabin as well as eating, shopping and traversing local roads.Nada tunnel is a must see! Takes a little over 40 minutes to get to Slade and the visitor center for Red River Gorge area. We experienced wonderful KY hospitality wherever we went.Ate at Miguel's which was average at best but enjoyed their large T-shirt selection. We felt better about our meal at the Hungry Hiker. Would highly recommend this cabin, host and the surrounding area.

Had all the essentials in the kitchen to cook and the view is phenomena of the sunset! The beds are really hot so I would suggest maybe bringing light sheets. I think it might have been the waterproof covers which is understandable for a rental! Overall a great and clean place with firewood delivery and trails within walking distance!

Wish there were stairs leading from the upstairs patio to downstairs for easier acess to the swing. Hot tub could have been hotter. Minor cleaning needed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back.

The cabin was beautiful, fully stocked. We had a wonderful time we stayed for three nights. Brad our host was great, prior to our arrival he sent information regarding places to get groceries, information on things to do in the area and also a number for a local gentleman who will drop off fire wood for a very reasonable amount. We would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone.

We had a great time staying at Moondance Cabin and introducing our children to Red River Gorge! The property was a little far out, but that just made the stargazing even better. We really enjoyed the hot tub, cornhole and the fire pit. The house was just the right size for our family of 5. All the instructions and suggestions from our host were great. Highly recommend!

Immaculately clean home nestled in a remote area with a fabulous view of the autumn colors! Just close enough to RRG hikes and other activities. Perfect property layout and spacious cabin with many amenities including kitchen knives that are actually sharp (that almost never happens in a rental so I had to mention!) We will definitely be back!
