“The general overall stay was super. The staff very helpful especially when we had a problem with our tv, came and sorted it straight away. The organisation of the breakfast with tables linked to your room name was a real plus! Much nicer than 'sit where you like'! “Lovely hotel, staff really friendly. Free parking round the back of the hotel with space for about 10 cars. Breakfast was included with our room. The breakfast consists of self serve cereals, fruit juices and water then you order from a menu for the rest of your breakfast. We opted for poached eggs on toast and the poached eggs were perfect. There are 14 rooms available at this hotel which is above a pub. There isn’t a lift so if you have mobility issues you may struggle. No air conditioning...

“Food poisoning the first night, rooms hotter than the sun, zero water pressure in the bathrooms. Constantly chasing staff for the most simple things. They ran out of ice. No fans for the rooms. No one collecting glasses or emptying an ash tray. Asked for a coffee in the morning and waited 15 minutes.. got up to ask where it was "oh i couldn't find you" yeah because you were in the kitchen flirting with the chef.. Could be such a wonderful place, if the staff weren't recreating Fawlty Towers”

“Lovely setting, great welcome, food superb, staff friendly and helpful We had the suite (kingfisher) which was an excellent room except for a radiator being stuck on in the bathroom. The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! If I have any criticism of the room, a little use of bleach would have gone a long way but please don’t let that put you off. The place is very very good. “Do not stay during the summer since the property as no A/C and gets extremely hot in the summer months. Also communication could be better , we had difficulty finding the location an getting in. The place is really centrally located and overall very nice, if you stay in cooler months”
