This hole of mold, bugs and probable disease is wholly misrepresented as a hotel. When told we weren't staying due the the deplorable state of the hotel they refused to refund and won't respond to expedias attempts to reach them. If I could upload pictures I would. There's junk vehicles in the parking lot. Homeless and users allowed to wander wherever on the property. The first hint was when the manager tried to shake us down for a cash deposit.

There were a few fast food restaurants nearby. In the parking lot someone was pulling a Honda minivan apart and another truck that looked like it hadn't been moved in weeks. Would never stay there again.

This is one hotel to avoid at all costs, filthy rooms and bathroom that is beyond bad. 2 other people checking in same time asked for their money back but was curtly told “no refunds”. I will be contacting the health department as well. And unless Orbitz refunds this disaster, this is the last time i use this site.

This IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST motel u have ever laid eyes on. The staff charged my card and said if you don’t like the room, you would have to go through Expedia to get a refund when I first walked in. The door was broken open. Then the bathroom had burned holes all over the tub in the sink area. The towels were filthy. The bed had stains and dirt all over it. The smoke detector was broken off. The refrigerator was rusted shut, and it was holes all in the wall. I would never see in a place so bad in my life that I’m thinking of reporting them to the BBB I immediately left and he said that I have to pay for the room tonight since I already was in there for 10 minutes. This is a place I would never be returning. He told me it would be a 3% charge on the debit card. I told him they did not say that on the website and he said fine. He won’t charge me the 3% like what terrible place filthy, unhelpful, staff, unsafe environment.

Didn't end up staying. The place was falling apart and I felt like driving until we found another place, or just sleeping in our vehicle was a better option. This is by far the worst place I have ever been led to by Expedia. We checked in, took one look at the room and went back to the office to let them know we were not staying. I left with the understanding that they would be crediting my card back, but that was not the case. Paying $140 for a room we never actually stepped into was still a better option than staying there.

The only contact I had with staff was through a small bank teller type window while I remained outside. The first thing the clerk demanded was a fifty dollar cash deposit. I guess that should have been my notice this was not the kind of place you would visit with family. The motel looks like something from an old 1960 movie set. The room entrance door had a strong spring which would prevent a child from escaping in an emergency. The floor felt sticky and a few of the light switches did nothing. The shower/tub was dripping, and I could not stop it. The sliding door at the back of the room could not open, and it was covered by cloth , but half of the door was covered by a sheet of plywood. When I arrived around 3 in the afternoon, there were more cars in the parking lot than when I returned shortly after 10 pm. Maybe the hotel clients are hourly guests. I should have known better than to book outside a major hotel chain.

Affordable Stay in Gainesville

The Knights Inn provides an inexpensive place to stay in Gainesville. We were staying there after a Florida football game and were there only to sleep. We got what we paid for - the rooms are old, with stains in the tub and some paint peeling on the walls. The TV did not work, and the electrical outlet did not allow me to charge my razor. The breakfast consisted of orange juice, coffee, bananas, oatmeal cream pies, swiss rolls, and honey buns. That being said, I would stay there again. The hotel served its purpose of providing an inexpensive place to stay on a football weekend. Positives include the size of the room and a very friendly staff.

Not too bad

Paid $115 for a two bed room the place wasnt as bad as i tought it was going to be for the comments I read. But in general the sheets were clean thanks god!, small tub and im a skinny guy! Broke ironing board. This place need mayor repairs. I think is too expensive for this old as place.

Acceptable place to crash after a Gators game.

Hotel is what you expect, a low cost room in an old hotel in a college town. Two miles north of the stadium, an acceptable stagger back to the room after a Gator's victory.

bathroom need updating, cockroaches in room

Bed was uncomfortable hurt my back , a towel wasn't clean, bathroom tiles were bad and walls were peeling. wasn't happy.

Not a good value

Rooms were not maintained at all.. appliances were old and dirty, room smelled bad, wi-fi did not work at all, and bathroom needed major renovations. Pool was closed and had dirty water (possibly mosquito infestation).

Very Disappointed

My Husband and I stayed at the Knights Inn, when it was just off Archer by I 75, several years ago. We liked the idea that is was then a one floor motel and that it was very clean. I was very disappointed with Room 157 on 8/19/2016. There were small roaches in the bathroom, I will not stay there again.

Looks dumpy but bed is super comfortable.

The place was having some internet issues when I got there, but besides that and the smell of 2 of the rooms, this place is in the top 5 of my best morels I've stayed at. Over all it was a really good experience

Stay Away

The pool didn't work. There wasn't a Continental breakfast, beds were uncomfortable, air conditioner was loud and there were cockroaches and other bugs in the bathroom and on the coffee tray. When we arrived , we went out and bought some bleach to clean the bathtub, which was not clean on the bottom, and wiped down all of the vanity surfaces.

We attended our son's master's program graduation

We were disappointed with the quality of the motel when we first got there. The room was in need of many repairs including the bathroom and the air conditioner. There were three cockroaches in the room when we arrived which I killed! I reported the air conditioner and bug issue to the staff right away and they said they would send someone to address the air conditioner and spray the room for bugs. I didn't report the constantly running toilet but decided it helped block out the noise of my husband snoring. I wondered why their cleaning staff didn't see this running toilet as a problem. We definitely got what we paid for in a motel so I wasn't totally dissatisfied since this is a choice I made.

Horrible

It was the worst experiences I have ever had in a hotel. There was one kind of bug in the bathroom and other bugs on top of the refrigerator. The shower was filthy. Several lights in the room did not work. The paint was pealing and the walls where coming apart. We never got a key that worked. We had to wait for someone to let us in the room and they never came back with a working key. We left as fast as possible. We stayed from around 11 at night until 7 in the morning.

Old motel but clean enough for quick stay

Very old motel but clean considering its age. Has great potential but needs a total make over. Pool is not open is fenced off and filled half way with moldy green water should be drained and filled in for safety and appearance purposes.
