Gorgeous house Amazing stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this fabulous house. Plenty of room for our group to enjoy. I especially liked the spacious bathrooms and big walk-in showers! The space is as pictured and described. Everything you need for a wonderful beach vacation.

Perfect birthday beach house

We celebrated our daughter's sweet 16 birthday at this location with several of her friends and it was perfect! The main living area is very spacious so everyone had room to spread out and be comfortable, play games, etc. Nice balconies for group photos, overall a very well kept beach house. We've used Vrbo many times and this is our second time in a location managed by BeachBox who did a great job communicating and making sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely come back!

Very nice house in great location

The home was spacious, well appointed and a very short walk to the beach. My only suggestion is that the owner should leave instructions for using the oven or replace the control knob because, apparently, they had replaced the oven control knob with the wrong one, and we couldn't figure out how to turn it on and set the temperature. It kept shutting off. The owner, however, responded quickly and sent out a maintenance man, who was able to figure it out. He acknowledged the problem with the control knob.

Clean, spacious, good location.

My fiancé, some old childhood friends, and I enjoyed a calm trip to Galveston. Home was incredibly spacious and provided adequate kitchen tools to cook meals. The home had board games, many TV’s, and was a short walk from the beach. The neighborhood is quiet and 15 minutes away from Pleasure Pier, only 20 minutes from the port. Overall, I would recommend this listing to my family and friends.

Overall it was okay. Gas stove was hard to light had to use lighter. Tv in master would not work. The outside shower was very dirty, but everything else was great. I would stay again. FYI Beachside Village does not allow trailers to park on properties.

Great Place Except

Very nice place. Good location good neighborhood. But the front door is a big problem. Not only was it very and I mean very hard to open and close. Also because you have to pull so hard on the door to close it the door handle is getting messed up from having to pull so hard to close the door. You cannot lock it from the inside of the house. Meaning when it is time to go to bed you could not lock the door from the inside of the house. You could lock it with a key from the outside of the house but not from the inside. I told the contact and they put somebody on it that told me that I would figure it out. I have storm doors almost exactly like these at my place I know that the locking mechanism that I wrote about above is messed up. Had I known about this issue before deciding to stay there. I would have looked around more and picked somewhere else to stay. Also the back door to the house which is upstairs from the master bedroom has a locking issue as well but was easy to open and close. but you could not lock it from the inside as well.

Great location

The beach house is in a great location right outside the busy part of Galveston but close to everything. The Beach house is very spacious and very clean. The front door was a little tricky to lock and unlock but once the manager explained to us how to do it it was not a problem again. Beds were very comfortable and a lot of room to spread out in living room and kitchen. We will definitely be back here.

Friend getaway

The home is in a great location and a quick walk to the beach. We did have some problems with the oven and had a difficult time getting it to work. When we finally did the smoke alarms started going off. It was very frustrating. Maintenance came out and the knobs on the oven had been replaced but they were not the correct knobs for this particular model. The house decor is beautiful and very inviting but it has definitely been used and needs updating. The house was clean but not cleaned well. It was disappointing that the home accommodated 10 people but they did not have enough bowls or plates. The property managers were helpful and tried to accommodate our needs which was appreciated. Not sure I would stay at this rental property again.

Wonderful get-a-way

Overall, this is a beautiful property in an upscale beach community. I really want to rate our stay as a 5 star but cannot due to several issues we had with our stay. 1) Beach Box completely failed us, but Manager made it right and took care of us in the end. I would be happy to share details if you want to reach out. 2) Cleanliness of home was less than satisfactory. The air vents in two bedrooms were caked with dirt and we literally had to purchase mold & mildew cleaner for the main bathroom shower stall. Down stairs bath tub had hair residue left in it which looked like the tub may not have drained well when it was cleaned last. Both sofa beds had food particles on the mattresses and we had to clean them before using. 3) Home has damages to walls throughout the home and has a broken mini blind slat in main bathroom. We took pictures of all damages in the event the Property Manager claims these damages occurred during our visit. Front door obviously has water damage (could be from recent storm) However, door is very difficult to open and close. Door handle is loose and needs to be adjusted. Having said all of this, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in this home, and we were pleased with the amenities offered. (WiFi was down the entire stay due to recent storm! But, gave us all a much needed break from being connected!)
