This home was the perfect design for our extended family vacation. Only 9 of us slept in the home itself, but a total of 16 used the home for meals and quality time during the day. You cannot beat the easy access to the beach, waking up to the sounds of the waves, and quiet/serene space. The kitchen was exactly what we needed for our large family and the large deck gave our little kids the sense of some freedom to run and play while giving their parents peace of mind. Some aspects of the home were slightly worn, likely due to it being a beach front property with high humidity, but that did not bother us at all. We also had not realized that people could drive their vehicles and overnight camp in that part of the beach, but knowing this information would not have changed our mind to reserve this place since it met our needs so well. We had everything we needed and, when in doubt, we could easily ask someone via text with a reply in moments. They also allowed multiple pets, which is less common and very much appreciated by this family that treats their pets like their humans! We had a great time and were very pleased we picked this place. It is an excellent option for large group vacations!

We stayed here to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday, and unfortunately it wasn’t the experience we had hoped for. During a thunderstorm, the house began leaking in multiple areas. Water came through the window seals, and in one of the bedrooms it was practically raining inside. The kitchen window was also leaking as well. It made the storm stressful instead of enjoyable.Additionally, the Wi-Fi never worked during our stay, which was frustrating. I understand storms happen, but the amount of leaking suggests maintenance issues that really need attention.I contacted the host/third-party maintenance company during our stay and followed up afterward requesting a partial refund, given the cost of the rental and the number of issues we experienced. That was about two weeks ago, and I have yet to receive a response.I hope this feedback helps ensure future guests have a better experience.

I stayed here 2 years ago and the place was wonderful. Now, things are a neglected. Two toilets broke right way, the entry roof leaked, the garage had a broken pipe that poured on my car when someone showered, glass doors we filthy with child prints and dog noses. Overall this place needs a good bit of TLC

Check-in was very easy no problem. There was a fridge that one door wouldn’t close, the other fridge was too small so we had to go out and buy 3 coolers and ice to keep things cold. Other than that the kitchen had all utensils needed. Over all we had a GREAT time

This beach house is horrible - save your money

I rented this house for my wedding weekend. Unfortunately it rained the day of my wedding but worse than the rain were the leaks in every room on the main floor of the house. We used every towel in the house to mop up water and had pots and bowls collecting water as it came through windows, the ceiling and light fixtures. Obvious patch jobs could be seen after the rain. This house is not being maintained Now 3 weeks later no one will respond to my concerns or contact me about this horrific experience. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this rental.

Spacious home

The home is spacious. Great gulf view. We had a great time.I was expecting a more private beach, this home is on a public beach area.A couple of things missing from the listing.No gas grill as shown under the “outdoor” equipment, we had to go back to the store to buy charcoal.Home is listed as 7 bedrooms, 4 bath. The home has 6 bedrooms and 4 baths. We were provided with a list of items included during our stay, some items missing, such as no cleaning supplies in the kitchen, toilet paper missing in master bathroom. After contacting the property manager, they delivered the supplies missing. The home needs a little TLC. Some construction items were left on the deck. One of the patio doors from a bedroom to the deck was boarded up, so no beach view from that room. Some unpleasant bugs in the home, we were told that was to be expected when you’re in this climate. We have stayed in several homes in the past in Galveston, beachfront, and no bugs.

Great location ON THE BEACH

This property has several important assets. First of all, it really is ON THE BEACH. So easy to have kids in and out of the house on and off of the beach all day. Second great asset is spacious. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have a space for their crew. Third great asset is lots of table space. We had a group of 7 adults and 10 children. Plenty of beds. My suggestion would be replace the room with one double bunk with a queen bed. Plumbing etc could use a bit of stability. But overall, we had a fantastic stay. Nice weather helped.

A Little Underwhelmed

We were a little disappointed in the condition of the place based what we had seen on the photos. I realize the hurricane caused some of the decorative issues, but none of the things we experienced were mentioned as a problem had communicated. In fact, we were told it was good to go. There are a number of issues that need to be addressed: The A/C for the upstairs did not work well and needs maintenance. The various portable fans around the house do not work or are missing the power cords. The door handle to the jack-and-jill bathroom comes off. The GFCI plug on the back porch is not functioning. Lots of utensils, but no hotpads or trivets. A couple of the deck chairs are broken. The firepit is unusable. Wifi doesn't reach the downstairs bunk room. Yes, this is a long list and probably overwhelming. Apparently many (or all) of these things have been a problem before as they are on the reviews. So, maybe shame on us for not reading the reviews more thoroughly. It's nice being right on the beach, but it's also very near a public entrance. We felt the need to put our stuff out early just to ensure we had a space in front of the house. Overall, for the price you are paying, it's more about having the rooms and beds rather than staying in a nice place. Don't expect a very nice place and you won't end up being disappointed.

Not as Advertised

Sadly this home is not as it appears online.The home is in great disrepair. It was advertised as a luxury home, and we were willing to pay a premium price for such a home to house our large family.However this is not a luxury home.The location is amazing. But the home was dirty, (don't think the ceiling fans have ever seen a duster),cobwebs in the cabinets.Dirty dishes and silverware in the drawers and cabinets.The floors were dirty, not only sandy, but sticky. Many things in disrepair, faucet handle came off, had to hold it just right to turn on the shower. A drain pipe under the sink in a bathroom wasn't attached,so flooded the lower cabinet. (my husband tightened it, as best he could, and we didn't use the sink anymore) There were lots of roaches. I understand the gulf coast and roaches, but I also know with regular exterminators coming in, the problem can be helped.Internet worked on the first day, then was out, called BeachBox, said they'd call me back but didn't. Sand and mud washed up on drive from the hurricane hasn't been cleared off, so it was impossible to not track sand into the house.Bedroom with hideabed is not a bedroom,shouldn't be advertised as such.Kitchen is well stocked with silverware, plates and glasses.3 coffee makers,1 works, Disposal sounds like it's on it's last leg.Bare sheetrock on the mainfloor ceilings, many beds, mostly bunkbeds, could use another bathroom for as many people who can sleep.House feels old.Very unkept.We're very disappointed.
