Great home for family

Great location and home that suited our needs well for a Christmas getaway. Close to the beach with everything you need for your stay.

Perfect for short stay

House was clean and amenities just right for our 3 night stay. Kitchen is fully stocked and plenty of outdoor seating. Beach is a five minute walk so kids could go back and forth all day/evening.

Relaxing and roomy

The place was very relaxing. Clean and peaceful. Very close to the beach and beds are super comfy. We had everything we needed plus some...plenty of linens and towels.

Beautiful Beach house

This house was very beautiful and very close to the beach. I loved going out on the patio and hearing the ocean. It was so relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay here and will be returning sometime soon.

Beautiful House

We had a great time at this rental. There were 2 minor things that were negative but I spoke to the manager and they answered quickly. I would definitely stay here again!

Great location!

We loved this property. Perfect for our family of 4. Listing is very accurate. 4 min walk to the beach, 2 min drive. Great location, quiet neighborhood, 25-30 min drive into Galveston.

Jewel Box Close to Beach

Bathrooms have been upgraded since photos were taken. Fantastic gathering space is larger than it appears in pictures. Plenty of outdoor space on deck and nice area under the home as well. Easy walk to beach. We had a great time & it was very quiet and relaxing!

Second stay, just as great as the first.

Second stay, this time just me and my husband for a weekend getaway. We so enjoy this cozy beach house and having our morning coffee watching the fantastic sunrises on the deck. The beach is literally a 3-5 minute walk, and we certainly enjoyed sitting in the beach having a few cocktails on the beach. Also had a great meal at West End Marina which is under a mile away. We will certainly be back again.

Great home, great vibes!

What a nice home this is! Such a great neighborhood and so close to the beach. Great decor and nice open floor plan for cooking, dining and hanging with friends. The house was very clean, the kitchen was fully stocked and the beds were super comfy. The downstairs was our favorite. Great bbq area with a full dining table (one for the kids too), a fire pit, and my favorite, the big twin bed swing…. I could sit there forever enjoying the salty air and sunshine. Will definitely be back.

Perfect Beach Getaway!

This beach house was adorable and had all of the amenities our family needed. I liked how clean it was and the decor is nice, the outside area beneath the home has nice sitting areas and a tv, and all of the rooms had tv's which was nice since the first part of our trip it was storming. From the patio upstairs you can see the beach in a few spots and hear the ocean. Right across the street from the neighborhood entrance is a beach access point you can drive right up to the beach, it was perfect. We like being away from the "tourist" and busier side of the beach. Recommend trying the West End Marina & Restaurants for a good meal and beverage if you dont wanna drive way into town. We will rent this house again!

Not clean and no pool key available

This house was great the only reason we gave a 3 star was because when we arrived the house was not clean, there was a prom party the night before apparently and the cleaners ran out of time is what we were told. The other reason was because there was no pool key and the owner never got back to us our whole trip. Overall the house was nice just not very clean and just a few things missing like the pool key to have access to that.

Great place for a quick vacay

We only stayed two days for a quick getaway. I love the cleanliness and the amenities of the house. It was not that close to restaurants. But the kitchen was set up for cooking with plenty of pots and pans and cutlery to be able to make your own meals. Also dish liquid and a fresh sponge was available for clean up as well as a dishwasher with soap. All of the remotes were labeled being able to kick back and watch a couple of movies on the television services was a great convenience. On the upper deck, we were able to see a little bit of the ocean and hear the waves , but it was too hot during the day, and there was no shade- maybe an umbrella or two(?). But there was plenty of space downstairs in the shade and a big swing, which we loved. And a great game of cornhole provided and lasted most of the day. We also got a visit from a sweet baby bunny who kept coming around in the grass. My kids were fascinated. The fridge was clean and did not smell- which can be common in places such as these. Check out time was a little earlier than we expected but overall a great place to stay. The decor was lovely and clean and we felt comfortable.

Great place for a mini vacay

We just popped into Relax Beach for a couple days of down time with the family. It was clean and not too far from the beach. Even though we did have to walk across the road-the cars weren’t too bad when we were trying to cross. You can see the ocean from the deck. Not the best view. You can only see a little bit, but you could definitely hear the water from the upper deck. Wishing there were umbrellas on the upper deck so I can hang out during the day. But there was a nice swing with pillows, downstairs and cornhole game to play and it was nice and cool with the wind blowing Under there. Unfortunately, the TV did not work down there, but we were able to entertain ourselves and have a fun time in the heat of the day. We also got a nice visit from a baby rabbit. That my kids named. The grass around the property was freshly mowed and even though it was a bit far from any restaurants. We were able to hit the grocery store before we went and cook out meals. There was plenty of cooking utensils and supplies as well as a nice kit to clean up after ourselves with dish liquid and a fresh sponge. The Wi-Fi was easy to connect. We also had access to a printer, even though we didn’t use it. There was several TV options so we were able to enjoy it a movie or two. All the remotes were labeled so we were able to turn on lights and fans where we needed them. Bathrooms were nice and clean with plenty of hand soap and shower necessities. Overall, a great day we would love come back one day

Fantastic location

Had a great time. Only downside was the dryer was not working. Not a problem for me but others in my party were depending on the washer dryer. 3 minute walk to beach and complete kitchen setup. Thx for great time.

Great place to unwind

My family came to visit Galveston for the first time & we stayed at this beautiful beach home. It was the perfect spot to relax & unwind after a day spent touring the city . The house was what you would expect in a beach home, it offered everything from dishes & cookware, beach towels, extra linen, extra fans to keep you cool at night & an awesome patio area that includes tables & chairs, fire pit & an outdoor tv. Everything was so clean & the boho decor was speaking my love language. The house is about 20-25 min from everything but I don’t mind the drive to have a quiet spot to relax in. Overall we would definitely stay here again when we visit Galveston.

5 Star House, 1 Star management

No response from Vacasa on any form of contact so unfortunately I am forced to share all of this here. House was beautiful but lacking in management/maintenance which seems odd during Memorial Day weekend at the start of a busy summer season. Great location, walking distance to the beach. Our families had a blast. AC filter was so clogged that the AC wouldn't cool. We removed the filter and contacted Vacasa only to not get any kind of response. There are no beach towels to speak of - they were advertised so we didn't bring them and were forced to buy expensive tourist beach towels. Shower head spraying in all sorts of directions due to lack of plumbing tape during installation. Dog fur everywhere. (We didn't bring a dog.) Clean sheets in both closets (closet space severely lacking here) taking up what small amount of space is available. Also strange that clean sheets that will end up being put on for the next guests were all within reach to us. We had to re-arrange just to have room to put our suitcases and clothes. Some dirty linen left in hampers. Propane left on and empty for fire pit. Grill left with loads of ash and old charcoal for me to clean prior to using the grill.

Springbreak at Relax Beach!

Wow! This beach home has such a pleasant soothing ambience. The home is fully equipped what you need to ride the waves. Meaning kitchen fully stock,towels, beach towels, linens, some bathe essentials outdoor pit smoker, propane boiler, washer dryer outdoor shower, outdoor TV ,porches up and down fully furnished, a sweet fire pit and awesome wifi be able to work if need too. Decorated beautifully, cozy and inviting. Nice ocean view s and soundscapes. Easy beach access, community pool and fishing hole. Only downfall for us was pet hair. We have bad allergies, House was clean but pet hair always lingers no matter how clean you are. Overall, God Bless Relax Beach. It was a great time.

Galveston Getaway

Celebrated my husband's 60 birthday at Buena! The house was very clean and decorated very nice! The house is located near Terramar beach which is on the west end of Galveston therefore you have to drive about 20 mins to get to restaurants/groceries however there are several convenient stores about 10 mins away. We really enjoyed our stay as it was a very quiet neighborhood. The house had plenty of dishes including pots/pans which was a plus. I would definitely consider staying a Buena again however, the 10:00 am check out was definitely a negative considering daylight savings time occurred the weekend of our stay. I normally choose a vacation rental over hotels where the checkout time is 11:00 or 12:00 therefore 10:00 was definitely a change.
