Spring break

I know some of the reviews for this house stated that the house was clean but we found it to be quite the opposite. The people who stayed there before us must have had black dogs because the comforters on both beds and the couch were full of dog hair. I spent my first night there washing sheets and trying to find the cleaner comforters to put on the beds. The house could stand to have a good cleaning. I will leave it at that. That being said the house is adorable and is very well stocked. Thank GOD for the washer and drier. I think in the future I will skip this house.

Love this house!!

This house is perfect! My husband and I took our kids and stayed the week of Thanksgiving. The house has a washer dryer which is SO nice to not go home with a ton of dirty laundry. The house was SPOTLESS when we arrived. The beds are SO comfortable with high quality sheets, comforters and pillows! So many pillows! The house has a yard which is great for us and our dog. The yard did have stickers which wasn't ideal so watch out for that with little ones. The house has a full kitchen with a ton of dishes, pots, pans etc. The bathrooms have soap, shampoo, conditioner etc BUT we ran out of toilet paper on day two. It wasn't a huge deal as there is a Krogers and dollar store close by. So you may want to bring some TP especially if staying several nights like we did. There are 3 total beds, plus the couch folds into a double bed and the sofa chair folds to a twin bed. So plenty of sleeping space with tons of bedding! There is a two car garage as well. One annoying thing was the code in the vacasa app wasn't correct for the door. It had a 9 digit code. I had to call the help line and get the correct 4 digit code. Quick fix but a bit annoying after traveling several hours with small kiddos. We will absolutely be back to this house!! Even the small annoyances can't take the house from the 5 stars bc they were more vacasa things rather than house/owner.

House was nice , had a garage which was convinient and a place for parking . Towels were made into animals shapes on all the bed. Also if your going to the beach it did have some items that were helpful. House was decorated nicely . Only complain I can say was it could use a cleaning.

Exactly what we needed

The house was exactly what we needed. It was very clean and well stocked. Easy to find and pretty close to everything that you would want on the island without being in the heart of all the touristy things. Great spot just to spend a couple of days (which is what we did). Only about a 10 minute drive to all the main hospitals which was a bonus for us because that was the reason for our visit. Truly a little home away from home. Would recommend for small families.

Cute house

Vacationing with my family of 8, the set up of the house was great. With enough room to not crowd each other. Was able to have a sit down dinner with the whole family. Would rent the house again. The washer and dryer was handy with the group. Was able to have clean towels every day. The downside was the waffle found in the maker from previous people. There was allot of bird poo on backdoor and steps. But overall the house was very clean.

Cute little Cottage

The home was sooo *CUTE* My family and friends loved it as well. Beach was not far, neighborhood is quiet, home was filled with basic essentials. Overall our stay was amazing and being dog friendly was a PLUS for us. The yard is divided into two, one side for the dogs and the picnic/BBQ area. We loved it so much, we are already looking into possibly purchasing a home of our own here for the summer. To the host, you have a BEAUTIFUL home.

Relaxing Getaway

Our family enjoyed our stay so much! The house was clean, had everything you need except food, and the beds were so comfortable! Great location near restaurants, seawall, and shopping! We will definitely stay here again!

Some good and some not so good...

Adorable house, nicely decorated, and well stocked. Really loved the character of the home - original wood floors and lovely antique glass doorknobs. Nice art and a really great dining room table! Dog friendliness was a HUGE plus and having a fence yard (even a small one) was fabulous. And, having a washer dryer was a bonus! The not so good: The house right next door is boarded up, neighborhood feels on the edge of feeling a bit dodgy... Although other reviews stated the beds were comfortable, my husband and I did not concur. My hips ached after 2 nights and he had a headache. I like a hard mattress if it's a good one and these did not seem like good ones. Back entrance steps were coated in pigeon dung. Obviously, they have a problem but unfortunately it seems it will need to be part of the regular cleans between guests - steps should be power washed as they are quite gross. And, what is it with the plug in air fresheners??? The house had a fake sweet smell that made me sneeze. We hunted them down and unplugged or removed but it was still in the air. I probably sound whiny to some - and I almost never write bad reviews but since the other reviews have been glowing, I wanted to bring our two cents to the table. The price was right but given the above, if we were to return to Galveston, we would skip this house.

Great little place

The cottage was great! Great location, Great space, great games available, great hot water and AC! While it's not on the beach, it was only 5-10 minutes drive from where we wanted to go. All the beds and couches were comfy and the big dining room table came in handy.

Comfortable, clean, & quiet

We were very comfortable in this little cottage situated in a quiet neighborhood. All attractions are just a few minutes away via car and the drive to get there takes you along lovely streets lined with historic homes. Beds are firm but comfortable. They do have heavy comforters, however, which is a problem if you sleep hot. Would recommend that the owners add some lighter blankets to the beds/linen closet. Both the sofa and chair in the living room fold out into memory foam beds - comfortable with no bars in your back. The cottage was spotlessly clean. Nice hot water and water pressure. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, but would recommend that the owners add a potato masher to the utensils. The garage is stocked with camp chairs and umbrella for the beach as well as wagons. Made good use of the washer and dryer during our stay. We appreciated the fenced yard for our pup, but when we stayed the yard was in need of a mow. Overall, very pleased and we would definitely stay here again.

Sea glass cottage

Home was well stocked up with towels , kitchen supplies , and offered a good amount of entertainment for kids ( board games , Netflix , backyard ) . Not too far from restaurants & beach!
