Where do I begin? Upon check in we noticed the property is invested with mosquitoes. We instantly knew we wouldn’t be able to be outside. The lawn is extremely overgrown and so overgrown our little dog couldn’t even use the restroom. Once upstairs to check in the home smelled like smoke. Not sure if previous renters were smokers or the cleaning crew is a smoker. I informed Vacasa, they told me to open the windows. Well it’s too hot outside to do that. Vacasa offered no additional help. We immediately noticed the ac wasn’t able to catch up to what the thermostat was sat on. This home needs some serious maintenance on the ac if not a new unit. Monday night we all baked, seriously it got to 79 degrees in the home night 1. Day 2 I informed Vacasa. They sent out a general contractor to fix a wobbly fan but he stated “I can’t touch the ac, I will tell them to send a tech” That never happened. We had to go out and buy a portable ac unit and two fans. Everyday I informed Vacasa about the ac. Again never sent anyone out, just didn’t care. They offered us compensation but the local manager won’t sign it off. Ridiculous! 6 days 5 nights of an ac not working then we had 8 people, 4 adults, 2 teenagers, 2 small kids. They give 2 trash bags, 1 roll paper towels, and 4 rolls of toilet paper. Once gone you, as the renter are responsible to replenish. As much as I’ve stayed in VRBO’s I’ve never had to replenish at my expense. It’s a nice property but Vacasa ruined it for us. Never again.
