The actual location lived up to the description provided on the Vrbo listing. Very comfortable home. We were interested in fishing and caught Speckled trout, Sand trout, Red drum and Croaker. Had a great time.

Lovely La Casa Rosa

My family of 5 (myself, husband, teenage son, and my parents) just spent a weekend at La casa Rosa and had a wonderful stay. The house was very neat and clean. My parents stayed on the main 1st floor and my husband, son, and I stayed one floor above. This house is perfect for 5-6 people, although it does sleep more. There were two small 1-person kayaks, a few boogie boards, and life jackets downstairs, and a few outdoor dock chairs next to the outdoor shower. Really the only we brought were beach items and towels. We easily fit 3 cars in the parking below the house. We would stay here again!

Nice house on the canal

Place was clean and well maintained. Enjoyed fishing in the canal, where we caught many small fish and blue crab on the fishing poles. The two green fishing lights in the canal and the one by the dock draws the fish in, but the there are so many minnows and shrimp in the water, bigger fish were hard to catch. Will check availability on our next trip to the area.

Fun Stay in Jamaica Beach

La Casa Rosa has plenty of space and everything you need to spend a weekend with family or friends. Fishing off the patio dock and sunset dinners on the balcony are highlights of the experience!

Bike Rally Weekend

The house was very clean well stocked with everything we needed. The only thing was the key to lock the door didn't work. I emailed the property no one ever responded to me. Therefore when we would leave the house we had to leave the door unlocked. But overall with loved the place will consider booking again.

On the bay

We love staying on the bay side, and picked this house because of the use of the kayaks, and crab traps. The dock is a little small for fishing and the boat was docked so that took away from some of the visual space, but we were still able to catch quite a few sand trout, speckled trout and hard heads. The house was very tidy and had nice linens, and extras too like, ziplocks, foil, trash bags, etc. We like to cook, and the kitchen was a little small for that, but very well equipped with everything we needed to cook for four adults and two children. We love that we were all able to sit inside and eat at the table together. The mosquitoes were pretty bad, and even though we brought two bottles of spray, we finish those off and I was glad that the house had an extra we were able to use. Overall, it was a great visit, and the house is in a good location.

Short spring break

We enjoyed the cute house, being on the canal, having access to kayaks, a boogie board, bikes and we fished off the deck. We had a nice stay! Sitting out in the deck in the morning with coffee and under the stars was sweet.

Perfect Pink Paradise

Perfect in every way. Super clean, beautifully decorated, located right on the canal. We fished, caught and cooked crab, floated in the canal, kayaked and went bike riding. All the extras are what makes this place so special. Plenty of room for six people and fully stocked. Short 15 minute drive to heart of sea wall. Thanks for sharing your home with us, we will definitely be back.

Great fun had by all

Our family was very impressed with this property to say the least. The house was amazingly clean, tidy, fully appointed with everything you could possibly need or want. The weather was not cooperating but we thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent with family at Casa La Rosa and the side trips to Galveston and the Houston Rodeo were icing on the cake. I would recommend anyone looking for a relaxing family friendly vacation to book this place immediately. Thank you Kathy for letting us borrow your lovely home. We will be back.

Spring Break Stay

Kathy was very easy to work with, we arrived early and she let us check in early! The house was beautiful, she provided so much for kids to do, kayaks, fishing and boogie boards. We wish the weather was better but everyone loved just hanging out at the house. Would definitely recommend for a family, convenient to beach and Galveston proper. Will stay again next time we go!

Perfect place for our quick trip to Jamaica island! The house had everything we needed and more! We have 5 children, from newborn to 18 - they all had the best time! Fishing off the deck, bike rides to the park made the 2 days fly by! You can’t go wrong with this place!!

Excellent experience with Kathy and the house is absolutely beautiful.

I would highly recommend this house. Very well equipped, so you need to pack minimal items. Close proximity to several tourists spots, but just far enough for a tranquil atmosphere. We will definitely rent again!

The Perfect Canal House

We absolutely loved our stay at La Casa Rosa! The house is worth all the amenities alone! From bikes to kayaks to boogie boards, bate boxes, crab traps and so much more! This house has all the comforts of home without having to lug everything with you or buy it down there! Close to restaurants, convenience stores, and more! Would certainly rent again!
