We were a little bit hesitant about this home after reading a couple of reviews, but it turned out to be a very nice, and well stocked property. Our family (of about 20 adults) plans a Bear Lake weekend every year. For the last 6 years, we've stayed in a different house every time, trying to find THE home that we will rent every year. So far, this one was our favorite.
We really liked the comfortable and spacious kitchen and living room. Eating meals all together was comfortable, even for 20 adults. The house is nicely decorated and all the appliances worked well and seemed pretty new. The carpet is comfy and most everything felt high end.
The location is great, it's only about a mile from the center of Garden City, so restaurants are close by. The lake is also very close, but don't expect to walk right into the water, as the lake is usually not high enough to be closer than about 50 yards away (and you'll have to brave a very muddy walk to get to it). But the views are gorgeous, and relaxing on the lawn was our favorite activity. The neighbors weren't too happy about us being there (they came over and scolded us for having a car parked on the grass (barely), but I suppose you can't blame them for having to put up with constant rental tenants all summer long.
The home has a lot of really nice features:
-A generator: the power in Garden City actually went out during our stay, so this was awesome!
-Well stocked kitchen: the kitchen had everything we needed, including zip lock bags, Saran Wrap, spices, lots of dishes and pans, and even a handy countertop oven with air fryer.
Yard and lake toys: there are several nice Adirondack chairs on the lawn, a fire pit, hot tub, kayaks and other toys.
Our only gripe was that the upstairs beds were not very comfortable. For kids they'd be fine, but for a grown adult, it was borderline miserable.
Overall we loved the property and may book it again next year.
