Beautiful cabin in a perfect location. You can easily get to all the attractions of Gatlinburg and then escape to this cabin or retreat to the pool at the clubhouse which is super clean and has awesome views . The jacuzzi at the cabin is also super clean and refreshing and my son loved the shuffle board game. Host is super responsive and we did, as she said, see bears! Incredible experience and we will book again for sure.

This place is perfect for a temp home. My parents visited from Indiana havent seen in a year, theyre older. My partner and I are 40 and 50. My aunt stopped by. And the last 2 nights i had my son. The place was perfect for all of us equipped with plenty of tv to watch, everything you need to cook with inside and out, games for the family, reading areas, and family friendly furniture plus some. The lady we talked to along the visit was so pleasent and prompt about responsing. If i could change anything about this place is a better description of the roads if you cant get through Gatlinburg, they were quite terrifying on the bypass. Over all past exceptional!!!! Oh yea and views of bears everyday we were here, 5 days.

Exactly as Advertised

I cannot say enough good things about the house, the host and the location. It was exactly what was expected from the description and pictures. Perfect for our family with two teenage boys and a dog. The outdoor space and hot tub were really well maintained. The most surprising thing was the location. Our drive there seemed pretty high up the mountain which was great for the views but wasn’t sure how often we would make it downtown or hiking. Pleasant surprise the directions took us a different way when we would go explore. Less than 10 min to downtown Gatlinburg or hiking. You still feel deep in the woods when at the house but have the convenience. The host was extremely responsive and kind helping us add an additional day without any issues. Would 100% stay here again!!

Perfect family getaway

This cabin was perfect for our family and dog friendly. If you want to see bears every day, this is your spot! The host responded to messages within minutes, and went out of their way for anything we needed.

Great location, nice decor

I need to preface with the VRBO app was not functioning correctly on my phone so I wasn't able to even try and contact the owner during our stay. Prior experience was that she responded quickly to communication and feel certain there would have been rapid attention. Overall, it is a very nice place and the location is fantastic. It was very convenient for everything we wanted to do. The cabin is older and while the decor is a nice rustic mountain style, it would benefit from some TLC. The issues were small ones not worthy of making a big deal out of, but worth pointing out. The rooms with the beds have no closets. Each one has one quite small upright narrow dresser with small drawers. However half of the drawers were filled with linens and not usable. There was nowhere to store things like shoes. One of the kitchen drawers was broken and when I pulled it out, it came completely out and fell on the floor, full of utensils. The hot tub really wasn't usable. We uncovered it and it had an undesirable odor. It had an empty chlorine canister floating in it. We have a spa at home and it was apparent that the chlorine and PH levels were not properly maintained. Each bed had 4 pillows. Two of each were covered with pillow shams that matched the bedspreads. When we removed the shams for sleeping, the pillows inside lacked cases. We couldn't find any pillowcases to put on them. On the positive side, we really liked the location and found it extremely convenient. It is also generally we

Snow Doubt About It!

The Getaway Chalet was a perfect stay for our family vacation to the mountains! It was equiped with everything we needed and so close to the attractions that made our stay even more memorable. The neighborhood was quiet and absolutely beautiful in the freshly fallen snow ❄️Amy was there when we needed her during the snowy winter weather offering tips and road closures to keep us safe (being first timers in the snow was a little intimidating...lol). We'd happily stay again and again!! Looking forward to another family adventure in Tennessee!

Great location

We had a good time. Amy is very attentive. Location is great: 3 mins drive to Gatlinburg. Just a FYI, the cabin doesn’t have a dishwasher. We would definitely rent this chalet again.
