House is beautiful with mountain and Gatlinburg views. The game room and theater room were perfect for everyone. Entertainment, dining, shopping all within a 20 minute drive.

We stay at a few VRBO’s every year and this one is definitely up there on the nicest & cleanest! Everything felt brand new still and so many amenities! Plenty of parking and only 8 minutes from everything. Quiet and great view too! All furniture felt higher end too. Loved it!

This cabin was amazing and perfect for our group. Our host was very responsive to inquiries about turning on some of the games and local recommendations for pizza. Everything in the cabin is labeled! There was no question which light turned on what, etc. The place was new so everything was exceptionally clean. Beds were comfy and we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this cabin!

The Funky Bear was lovely! Great location. You can be in Gatlinburg in about 5 minutes or take the bypass out to Pigeon Forge. The host, Zack, was great in communication. We enjoyed the entire cabin, especially the games and movie rooms downstairs. The cabin decorated for Christmas was the perfect touch to kick off the holiday season!

The property was amazing. The service was top notch too. We had to ask a couple questions and they responded immediately. We had a blast and made great core memories. We were there with our family ranging from mid 70s to 2 years old and it was perfect for everyone. We will definitely be back!

Amazing Luxury in the Mountains

The whole cabin was more of a mansion. So amazing. The game room, movie theatre, living area, all of the rooms and bathrooms - - amazing. So clean and cute. The decorations were awesome. Loved it. 10/10 will be booking this cabin again!

Excellent place, location is perfect between Glatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge. Home is beautiful the views are exactly what you want in the smoky mountains. Could not recommend this place more. Home is exactly as described in the photos. We had a great stay here with plenty of room for all 8 of us with room to spare. Highly recommend if you’re staying in this area. We even saw a bear one morning which was a highlight of our trip!

Absolutely fantastic property - highly, highly recommend! Cabin has a very thoughtful layout that was ideal for 4 couples and up to 4 kids. Saw at least one bear every day. Location was excellent - less than 10 minutes from both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Up in the mountains just enough for spectacular views, but not so far that is was painstaking to get to and from. Property is very well maintained.

Home Away from Home Experience - A Perfect Getaway for Friends and Family

We had an incredible 3-day stay at Funky Bear Lodge and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The lodge had the perfect balance of comfort, charm, and rustic beauty—ideal for reconnecting with both nature and each other.The space was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated with a fun, funky flair that gave it so much character. There was plenty of room for our group of friends and family to spread out and relax, yet it still felt warm and inviting. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals together, and the outdoor area was a highlight—perfect for morning coffee, evening chats around the fire pit, and stargazing.Every little detail, from the comfortable beds to the scenic views, was spot-on. The hosts were responsive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed for a stress-free stay.Funky Bear Lodge is now at the top of our list for future retreats. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy great company in a unique and memorable setting!

80th Birthday family trip

We loved our stay! Home was absolutely beautiful! We had 11 of us and was perfect in that there was so much to do and lots of space for everyone. We all enjoyed movie night and the game room. Patio was so nice/gorgeous view!

A perfect mountain getaway

The Funky Bear Lodge is a beautiful home in a great, accessible location with stunning views and easy access to downtown. The check-in process was seamless, and Zack was incredibly helpful, providing us with great recommendations for our stay. Each bedroom was spacious and featured a fully equipped bathroom with plenty of towels. The kitchen was spotless and had everything we needed, and the furniture throughout the home was super comfortable. We especially loved the game room, relaxing in the hot tub, and the amazing movie theater—it really made our stay special. I highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a fun and comfortable place to stay!

Very nice house, clean, well tooled, plenty of entertainment and features for entertainment such as kitchen, dining, family group setting .Suggested improvements:gas grill station for grilling, more outside room/accomodations. Need better signage for locating the address, I saw none at access for this satellite location.

Spacious, clean, and comfortable for large group!

Wonderful stay at this cabin with 12 people, small children and adults. Cabin is fully equipped with everything to cook dinners and entertain here. Beautiful views from balcony and patio, hot tub was very nice. Great location near Gatlinburg activities, very clean and updated cabin with great decor. We really enjoyed our stay here for our large group, each room has a full bath attached. Highly recommend!

Perfect for large family - checked all boxes!

The cabin did not disappoint! It was located in a central area that it took us no longer than 15 minutes to get to all the attractions in Gatlinburg, the Island of Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, and yes even Publix!. The views of the city were breathtaking. The cabin itself was one of the cleanest VRBOs I have ever stayed in and the decor was so cute and cozy for the holidays I felt like I was at home. Communication with Zack was 5 star from the very beginning during the initial booking period when my family was picking dates and throughout our stay. I had reached out when we first got there to notify him that the microwave handle was broken (not a big deal on our end but just wanted to let him know that I found it like that when we arrived). I had no expectation of the microwave being fixed while we were there but to our surprise Zack reached out within a few hours and had his parents there to fix the handle. The theater room and game room got a lot of play with our family. Perfect spot for everyone to gather at the end of our days. My only wish is that we had a real fireplace to be able to roast s’mores, but the electric fireplace in the living room gave off enough heat to keep us warm and was a beautiful statement piece in the living room. Will definitely recommend to family and friends and would come back again!

Thanksgiving with friends and family

We checked in Wednesday and checked out Sunday. Our Thanksgiving vacation was amazing. The views from the house were spectacular, and the theatre room and game room were very popular. All the bedrooms were comfortable and it was nice to have each bedroom with its own bathroom.
