Disappointed to say the least!

Booked this unit 2 yrs in a row for a long wkend & paid a high price due to the proximity to the city. This time will be our last thou. Issues: kitchen outlets not working called in Fri 6pm & left vm; live & dead bed bugs found in BR #10, called in Sat 1am, after 10 min of waiting for someone to answer, relayed all the info to a person & asked to have someone in 1st thing in the am to fix both issues. BR #8 had water leak in BA frm upstairs BR #2, not called in. Reason we didnt leave: time of the night, size of our party, & hard to find a vacancy during long wkend. We didnt find any bug activity in other rooms frm what we could see, the displaced guests slept on the couch. Got no callbacks the next day, so I called again 1pm & was told they didnt receive vm frm 6pm call or frm the guy who answered at 1am. Instead, I shouldve called the after-hours no, even thou this was the only no that was shared thru text msgs before our arrival. The so-called "after-hours" no is the Office no listed in their email communication. We were told to stay out of the unit till 8pm while both issues were resolved. None of the guests were willing to sleep in the infested room for the remainder of the trip even after it was sprayed as the room was closed up in the basement & the mattress wouldve been sprayed too. After asking, we got .0229% back as an inconvenience refund (I had to remove the actual amounts due to review guidelines). Regardless to say poor service by Stony Brook Cabin Mgmt & owners!

Family get together

Loved all the rooms/bathrooms. The hot tub and indoor pool were fun. There was enough seating for 16 people at the tables. The kitchen was lacking key components-hot pads, serving dishes, cookies sheets, etc.

90TH Birthday Family Celebration

So pleased with our family’s celebration of our mother’s 90TH birthday. We had ages from 2 to 90. The house was perfect—clean, centrally located, comfortable, roomy, and so well furnished. Thankful this family could be together. Enjoyed every moment.

Great cabin for a large group

We loved our time at The Great Dogwood Manor. We had about 22 people in our group, so we were below the capacity of the property, but the space was perfect for us. The bedrooms are all good sized, and there is plenty of room for bigger kids in the two bunkbed bedrooms. The kitchen and eating areas were perfect for a large group. Everything was clean and well-appointed. We enjoyed having space to be together as a group and also enough bedrooms to retreat for some quiet when needed. We made great memories here. Thank you!

Fantastic!

We were looking for a place that could easily accommodate 18 family members, this place did not disappoint! What an incredible stay we had. Plenty of space for everyone. We loved how we all had our own bathrooms. The house is very well stocked and had all we needed. Walking distance to downtown Gatlinburg was a bonus. Our family had come from Australia, The Netherlands and Nashville… what an lovely time we all had being together under one roof. Will definitely be back again. Thank you.

Nice house, horrible customer service

The general stuff first: the house was a great size for our family reunion, the pool was nice to have on rainy days, the walk to downtown is down a steep hill. We had a unfortunate situation happen while staying at the house. While we understand things happen it was the manner in which it was handled that was frustrating. At 10:30 p.m ., the toliets on the basement level started gurgling and overflowing. I called the number for Vacasa and told them of the problem. I was told someone would call me back. At 11:30 pm, when noone had called back, I called again and they told me that they didn't have a plumber that could come out so they were going to relocate us. I had 24 people including infants, toddlers, and pregnant women sleeping in the house. Vacasa then told me they would call back to figure out where we would have to move. Around 1 am, they told us the house that we could relocate for two nights( we would have had to move again because that house was booked for later that week) was in the same neighborhood. I asked them to just give us the code to that house so we could use the bathroom and keep our stuff in the same house rather than move it twice. I was then told that the plumber would be there around 9 am the next day. At 10 am the next day, no plumber had come but I saw the maintenance man in the neighborhood. I approached him and asked if the plumber was on his way. He didn't know there was an issue - no one had told him. After several hours on the phone with supervisors and regional managers, they said we would have to wait another day for the plumbing to be fixed. However, the maintenance man said that the plumber would be there that day. There was a total lack of communication and I wasted a whole day and part of the night out of our family reunion on the phone trying to fix the toliets. We had called other plumbers in the area that could have responded earlier, but Vacasa refused to use someone other than their contracted plumber. I understand those plumbers may have been more expensive, but we were without toliets and showers- which made the house uninhabitable. Eventually, the plumber got there and it was fixed by the evening so we didn't have to keep walking to the other cabin to use the bathrooms. For our trouble, I was offered a gift card from Amazon. I told them that 2 nights refunded would be appropriate. They offered on night, but we have still not received that refund.

Awesome 5 STARS!

It was perfectly located near everything and yet private enough to have the best of both worlds! At the house your in a wood cabin and feel secluded but literally blocks from the strip! The cabin was better equipped with essentials than what we expected! Every room had its touch and everyone felt they had the best room! We even saw a mother bear with her three baby cubs! I could go on for days but I would recommend again and will returning in the future!

Good location and spacious

Good location to Rocky Top Sports World with utilization of back roads to avoid traffic. The house was spacious with areas to accommodate big groups and different levels to divide into smaller groups. The hot tub and garbage disposal did not work which was disappointing. There were no hair dryers found even though stated the house had them available. Vacasa contacted regarding these issues. Overall it was a good place to stay!

Very clean cabin

Very clean cabin loved it but people don’t understand what parking in you your spot means. We had 7 cars in our family and they do provide 7 space per cabin. But people from other cabins parked in our space. I called Vacasa so they can solve the problem all they told me was go park in a public parking down town they didn’t help us for nothing! We had to pay parking space down town. they say we will send somebody tomorrow never came! They need to get signs there is people from the hotel near by that parks there too! Or they need to check parking tags!

Dollywood Girls trip

A beautiful property with a great layout for a crowd! Convenient location. Upon arrival we found the coffee pot still had grounds in it, a wine glass was put away broken, and most of the TV remotes were missing their batteries but other than those minor details we had a great experience. I would rent this property again, but next time will rent from Vacasa as that site seems to have the original listing (it seems we paid VRBO an extra couple hundred to rent from Vacasa).

Great location for wonderful experience

This property is within walkable distance to Gatlinburg downtown and great for groups of 20-30 members. very spacious and six bunk beds in a room are very attractive for Kids. We spent a good amount of time in the Basement playroom and theatre place. You may have surprise visitors, Bears if you are luckily in this location. Could be an expensive cabin depends on time of the visit still worth the cost.

Large comfortable cabin in perfect location

The cabin was clean and just like the pictures. Rooms were spacious and bathrooms came with tub and showers. Family was able to literally walk down the hill to the main strip in Gatlinburg. This place is a do over!
