The place was awesome. We got snowed in for 2 days, the driveway was a bit steep, and they only plowed the court road once a day, so we werent able to get out for a bit. On the day we checked out we had to spend quite a bit of time chipping away ice to make it out. But man what a view of town with all the snowfall! I have 2 kids under 10 and they loved the upstairs playroom.

We have stayed at City Lights three times and each time we have had a consistently excellent, no issues stay. The views, cleanliness, location and amenities are incredible. Perfect place to explore Gatlinburg, Pigeon forge, and the Smokey Mountains.

Cozy Bear's-eye View of Gatlinburg

We have stayed in City Lights in the past and it only gets better with time. Clean, cozy, fun, convenient, and views of everything Gatlinburg has to offer. Worth the views and moderate calorie burn to walk to shops, restaurants, attractions and hiking trails without worrying about parking or drive 15 minutes to Pigeon Forge if you like a more chaotic tourist experience. Or, if you are like me, enjoy the comfort of the cabin with a local cup of coffee and a donut and watch the clouds drift by.

May 2025 trip to City Lights

BEST equipped kitchen BY FAR of any of our other locations visited. I like to cook/grill and didn't need to dig into my tote for essentials. Kitchen also had a great view and was next to the conversational area. Fun game room. Good mattresses and water. Follow the directions exactly to the home (a little hidden turn left). Driveway is scary so pick your driver knowing that. Food City grocery nearby.

Peaceful and so relaxing. So close to everything. House has everything you could possibly need or want! Incredible views from your balcony and so quiet. Will definitely stay again…..thank you for a fantastic time

Wonderful cabin. Clean and many accommodations. Beautiful views. Only drawback is a narrow and very winding road. Bring a smaller vehicle. We had a pick up and it was challenging. Otherwise - FANTASTIC!!

Great stay

The property is amazing. Inside is fully stocked. Outside is an amazing view of the city and mountains. Plenty of outside area, grill, and seats. The driveway is a very tight turn and very steep. Recommend experienced drivers.

Beautiful Stay

This place is exactly as advertised. CLEAN, beautiful views, very quiet area, 5 minutes from town yet miles away. We’ve been visiting this area for 29 years together and this was absolutely the best cabin we have stayed in. No creeking floors and doors that can wake others from rest. Loved it!

Everything was perfect! All cabinets and drawers labeled with what was in it. The items that were given to start our stay was actually more than enough. Bears were on property. Be sure to lock your car.

City Lights Does Not Disappoint

My family and I stayed at "City Lights" from August 16th until August 26th. The cabin's location is perfect, only a few minutes from downtown Gatlinburg on a dead end road, so no traffic and with an amazing view of the mountains and the City Lights of Gatlinburg. While the driveway is a little intimidating at first after a couple of times entering and exiting the area it is really not a problem. The cabin is small but very well designed with multiple open decks and layout which makes it feel much larger. The hot tub and theater room on the lower level are awesome, especially the view from the hot tub of Gatlinburg and the surrounding mountains. A wonderful cabin we are already planning to return to for our next mountain getaway. Thank You to the owners and Heavens Cabins for sharing your wonderful cabin.

Heavenly family time

This was my first VRBO experience and because of how well everything went, it will not be my last. The house is just as sweet in person as the pictures show. It was us and our teen, and the size was just right. I think it would be good for 2 couples as well since the beds are king and each have their own bath. You could do 6 people, but it would be tight. It was very well stocked as far as the kitchen, and everything was clean, organized. The game room was so much fun, and a good way to connect with our teen and each other. We didn’t use the grill or hot tub, or theatre room so can’t really comment on them, but they are there and I assume all are up to par with the rest of the house. The location was soooo good. We went back one day to rest and freshen up and then went back down to Anakeesta to watch the sunset. I think if it been a longer drive, we would not have been willing to that. The one challenge is the driveway. I cannot picture driving up there in the winter. We arrived late and it was a little scary, but in the daylight it was doable, and we just didn’t go all the way down the rest of the trip. It’s a steep driveway (on the mountain) so I guess I should not have been surprised. It was mentioned in other reviews and it is true, but all three of us agree. We would definitely go back to this little piece of heaven house. Thank you! We are so grateful.

Amazing Cabin

This cabin was absolutely amazing. It was the most well stocked cabin we've ever stayed in and we've been coming up for 23 years, sometimes twice a year. There was lots to do and lots to watch from the cabin. The driveway was definitely tricky, but we got the hang of it pretty quick. I loved that in less than 5 minutes, we were in downtown Gatlinburg. The beds were super comfortable and so was the living room furniture.
