The cabin was welcoming to our dog, Bosso and to us. We appreciated the carpeted floors and the mats in the kitchen area for our tripod Bosso; he relaxed right away. The first couple of nights were very cold, but the cabin with the fireplace kept us nice and toasty, despite the main floor windows being a bit drafty. Another thing to keep in mind is that the steep, creaky stairs to the bedroom are a bit scary, especially with no handrail and us being 75. We were lucky to be there at full moon to watch it through the huge skylights in the bedroom. Soaking in the hot tub was also nice under the full moon. We loved the cabin location, quiet, private and with the automatic gate, we felt safe. We very much enjoyed meeting Marie and her horses, and of course, the big handsome boy, Dodge.

Nice hot tub, very dangerous stairs that are crooked, slippery, and spaced oddly. Several notes reminding guests that they will seek compensation for damaged or stolen items made me feel very not welcome. Was going to sign the guestbook then found another note urging us not to steal garbage bags or they would be seeking compensation. Filthy dishes we couldn't use for cooking.

The best cabin we have ever experienced! No comparison at all. The place offers so much, but we only have so little time to explore. I planned a suprise Valentines day trip for my wife and our puppy. Even in the great white winter, the cabin is warm and cozy. Lots of space for our pup to run around safely. The hot tub is definitely one of our favorite! And with a kitchen this well-equipped, you don't have to worry a single thing even if you are inexperienced in staying in a cabin. Did I mention how beautiful the interior is? It is amazing. The photos from site do not do it justice. You have to experience it in person. Most importantly, thanks you Marie (the host). She is absolutely amazing. Although I wasn't able to reply back to her, due to not being familiar with the Vrbo app...she replies very quick, and solves all my concerns without hesitation and WITH enthusiasm.Overall, if you are looking for a cozy and relaxing cabin trip, this is for you. If you are looking for advanture and excitement, this is also for you. There are trials only 10 mins away, and there are snow shoes provided if you come in the winter. No worries at all!! Again, thank you Marie for such an amazing place. Can't wait to visit again!!

Unfortunately, this didn't work out too well for my little dog & myself. It started with a trip up in the biggest snow storm ever, no one's fault of course, but I needed a break and I couldn't afford to lose the money, so we went. After a long, nail-biting drive up, we arrived. The cabin was pretty much as described but there was a problem.The bedroom is a loft and you have to climb some stairs to get to it....which I was aware of, no problem. However, what I did not know is that the stairs are narrow, uneven cut logs & the staircase is also very steep. I was worried as soon as I saw them. I was able to climb them slowly & carefully, but my dog could not, (she is a healthy, two-year-old Frenchie) I carried her up once, because there was nowhere else we could sleep, but it was very dangerous & I could not & would not do it again. Not only are the stairs really precarious, but there is no railing to hold on to. We spent the first night miserable & sharing a loveseat in the tv room. Enter problem number 2; the tv didn't work. Our host was willing to replace it, but not until sometime the next day, but by then, I couldn't see how we could stay and we lasted all of 19 hours.I was also a disappointed because the only walking trail we had available was the actual driveway itself. I will say, our host was very nice, I'm sure she wanted us to have a great stay, but despite its beauty & serenity, it was pretty uncomfortable for us, and a financial loss.

Place had all the basics required (towels, bedding, robes coffeetea) plenty of heaters and instructions. Wifi was great bonus, do just wish the TV had something to use to the wifi to stream but I suppose bandwidth isn't the best spent on that

My experience was brimming with beauty, peace, and a sense of coming home. Marie is an exceptional host- she provided an incredible property with clear direction on how to take care and get the most of it, and her energy and helpfulness was top-tier! I've never felt so welcome at a place away from home before. The land itself was quiet and zen, and the cabin was cozy, clean, bright, well planned, and much bigger than I expected. I adored the skylights and the bridge! I enjoyed it alone, but it would be an incredible stay for couples to sink into their love together as well. I will be back again, as often as I can! It is more than worth the price- a sacred little spot.

Marie was wonderful and the visit with the horses was my highlight. The cabin was gorgeous, clean, and quiet. The morning coffee was very much appreciated. Skylight was so nice at night to see stars. Communication was great. 10/10 recommend.

We had a terrific time there. Very private and quiet. Games to play and a hot tub. Sky lights over the bed for star gazing. Complimentary Keurig coffee among other things. Tv and stereo. Free internet and wifi. Lots of windows to watch mother nature. Trails nearby. Host lives on the property but we never saw anyone. Secure with a fob controlled gate. No charge for our pet dog. Lots of deck area to sit in shade or sun. Horseshoe pit and cornhole game.I could go on, but you get the idea. Our host Marie, was very accommodating and pleasant. Thank you Marie and we will see you again.

This was a charming cabin! A much-needed retreat from the city, combining a restful stay with exploring the area (we especially enjoyed the stone church, the orchard/bakery, and the antique store). Marie was a gracious and communicative host, and keeps the Cabin clean and well-stocked. Would definitely love to return!

Check in/check out were a breeze. We did not cook while at the cabin but Kitchen appeared well stocked with cooking pots, pans, etc. Lots of different condiments in the refrigerator. Our favorite thing was how secluded the cabin feels while still being close to roads and only 10 minutes from town. Lots of indoor and outdoor activities at The Cabin and within an hours drive. We highly recommend you book a stay here.

This is a magical little spot. We had plans to go kayaking for a fay but once we got there we just couldn't leave. A great little getaway from the everyday.
