Loved the room - quiet and very well appointed. Good location, and I was happy to have access to laundry while I was there. Would definitely recommend to others - very good value, especially for solo travellers who want a comfortable stay for a reasonable price.

Had a very short stay as arrived very late at night. Check in and out was great particularly with arriving late and sleeping in. Grateful to not be over charged for over staying. Good location for central station and central Glasgow. Room was very nice. Rather a firm bed which might not suit everyone.

We had an amazing stay at The Wellington! It’s a newer hotel so you can expect all the amenities to be clean and new. The bathroom floors were heated which was a fun surprise! Will definitely be back when I’m in town again!

Newly renovated Aparthotel. Central location with nearby parking. Very high tech rooms with all sorts of electronics to control heating/lighting with fridge/safe/kitchenette/ pod coffee maker/microwave etc etc all good quality.

Lovely hotel. Great idea for a hotel room - different! Room included a small kitchen unit with a sink, fridge, microwave plus tea & coffee facilities. Shame the fridge wasn’t that cool but a lot of fridges in hotel rooms are not that cool. Nice size single bed. Very comfortable. Also, good size bathroom with fantastic shower. Nice touch to have a clothes steamer rather than an iron. Only issue was the air conditioning. If it was working, I couldn’t tell. The room was too warm for me and despite turning the temperature down to 16 degrees from 21, I didn’t feel any difference.

Great place. Staff friendly at check in/out and I was early and my room was ready which was great. Facilities excellent. Little kitchenette within the room, fridge etc. lovely bath. my only complaint was I dropped something and noticed there were a few crisp looking things under the bed 🙈. Maybe pull the beds out for a hoover…

If you are looking for accessible accommodations, this isn’t it. We booked two separate stays with a few days between for a side trip. The first stay was in a typical room. One in our party has intermittent balance issues and the bath/shower was extremely difficult to use due to its design. We asked for an accessible room for the second stay. The accessible room was not on an accessible route (two heavy, non-automatic doors to open) and the room layout is unlikely to accommodate a wheelchair. Although the huge bathroom was accessible, the shower was completely open, allowing the entire bathroom floor to get water on it and making the wet tiles a slip hazard. To top it off, we needed to use the lobby’s wheelchair lift one evening to descend the half story from street level to the reception area. The lift door would not open, leaving us stuck while waiting for assistance. The staff were extremely helpful and apologetic, but it took quite some time to get us out.

The staff were great, really helpful. The hotel is super clean and designed lovely. There were definitely some teething issues with it just opening, buttons in bathroom hooked up to the wrong points (shower/bath). Heating didn’t work and needed a small heater, TV was glitching and stopping all the time.

A few issues with the room number 006, they have multiple pads on the wall and near the beds for switching off lights etc maybe could have been doing with an explanation of some of the functions, 1 of the lights wouldn't switch off and had to get a staff member to come and see it, the solution was to switch all lights off at the fuse box in the room and switch it back on in the morning, 1 of the lights in the bathroom was flickering and the shower has 3 settings bath, overhead and a shower pole with a button each with an image on it and 2 of the switches were flipped so 1 of the shower settings actually switched the bath water on instead. Maybe still some teething problems as it's quite new and does have a lot of potential.

The staff was very helpful. However, in the 10 minutes that I was parked on the street while the staff person was trying to sign me up for a nearby parking garage, I received a parking ticket for 100 pounds Stirling. My only recourse was to pay a 50 pound reduced fine if I paid it right away without contesting it. A very inhospitable end to a fine trip. That's no reflection upon the hotel. A very bad reflection upon the City of Glasgow. The parking attendant must have been watching for us to step into the hotel as we tried to figure out parking. Very unsatisfactory. The hotel staff person tried to do everything possible to help, but to no avail. Hard to believe this is how Glasgow would intentionally treat visitors obviously driving a rented vehicle. Thanks for the overzealous "gotcha" moment.

We really enjoyed our stay, the hotel is beautiful and staff are very friendly/welcoming. Our room was also very nice, everything was brand new so spotless. The room had everything we needed and more, loved the coffee pod machine and the fact we had a fridge. Bed was OK mattress is firm. Only slight issue was the water pressure in the shower it kept foing low and then high, temp was a little high too but we passed this on when leaving. We were also.unsure if the rooms are cleaned daily as we'd left the card on the door to say yes we would like a clean but when we returned it hadnt been done. Reception provided additional coffee pods though and milk. There is under floor heating in the bathroom and this seemed to come on itself, the floor was very hot in the morning. Again passed to reception.

Review Pros: The hotel is easy to find, spotlessly clean, and very smart overall. The location is excellent and the room itself was lovely — modern, comfortable, and well thought out. The bathroom and facilities were particularly nice, with a contemporary feel that definitely adds to the appeal. On a purely physical level, it’s a very good hotel. Cons: Unfortunately, we felt it missed several very easy “customer excellence” opportunities, which ultimately led us to move hotels after one night because we didn’t experience the warmth of genuine hospitality. Everything was nice, but there was no extra effort. On arrival we had five bags, and although a porter trolley was nearby, it was dusty and there was no offer of help at all. When I asked about organising a room rate for a potential second night, the response felt uninterested and the responsibility was pushed back onto me to sort out. Throughout our stay we didn’t see another guest, which gave the impression of complacency from the night team. In-room basics also felt lacking — just one bottle of water and one teabag left us feeling a bit shortchanged. There was no phone to contact reception, and the lighting and heating controls were frustrating. We eventually had to turn off the fuse to the kitchen area because the light was directly in our eyeline for sleeping. The morning team, to be fair, were much more engaged and attentive, which highlighted the contrast even more. Conclusion: perfect for non occasion stays

Lovely overnight stay at The Wellington whilst attending a retirement party in an establishment on nearby Bothwell Street..We were allocated a lovely room on the 3rd floor. Room was very modern and welcoming with everything you would expect and require in a hotel of this standard. Didn't spend a great deal of time actually in the room due to party but have to say the bed was exceptionally comfortable and we both had a great nights sleep. Shower in the morning was great and also the tea/coffee making facilities afterwards. The hotel was really quiet in the respect of noise which obviously helped with the great nights sleep we had. All in all we were delighted with our stay and wouldn't hesitate to use The Wellington Hotel again when we have occasion to stay overnight in Glasgow. Didn't really have much conversation with reception other than checking in and out but doing this was so smooth with both receptionists being very polite and helpful.

The room: The mattress and pillows seemed to be made of concrete. The light leaking into the room from poor-flitting curtains. 3 tea-bags and the worlds smallest tea cups ( no, not the espresso ones) suggests only coffee drinkers were involved in facilities decisions. And walking on the bathroom floor required fire-walking skills. Floor is lava. Just… not the level of accommodation we were expecting.

Place had just opened when we had visited and had a few problems but staff were lovely and offered us a free breakfast even though the breakfast was not much it was still nice. Price for the hotel was good at the time don’t know if they’ve upped it to more but if it was anymore expensive than what we paid roughly £100 for the night I would go somewhere else.

The Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was very modern, spotless and comfortable. I liked the storage for clothes and the small kitchen facilities in the room. There is a microwaves, plates cups and coffee machine. The location was also ideal, so central for visiting Glasgow.
