Good location and inside of property

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was nice inside. The exterior is pretty rough. Back door would hardly open. Didn’t have little things such as trash bags and a lot of extra rags etc. I would stay at it again. Just replace the sliding door.

Great place, as long as your inside

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at Skippers Woods, as long as we were inside. The one thing we were disappointed about was the deck. The sliding door was broken, so we could not excess the deck easily. There was another entrance to the deck, but since it was uneven terrain, it was difficult for our elderly parents to access. Also, there was no glass in the outdoor table, so even if you wanted to enjoy the deck, don't plan on using it for meals. This was a big bummer since this was the only outside area. When we talked to the vacation rental company at the beginning of our trip, they were aware of the door situation, but had no plans on coming out to fix it. I would not recommend this place if you are looking to spend your time outdoors. Otherwise, the house was large and had room for our party of 7.

Great location

We had a great stay! We had 2 families, 4 adults and 3 kids total. Plenty of room. No access to pools which is a bummer, but access to beaches and restaurants on the property. Great location.

Perfect location, comfortable accommodations!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The kitchen was well-equipped to prepare meals for 10 and space for people to help or watch. The home had space for people to escape and the location and setting served as a great central location to get out and explore or stay behind and read and relax amongst the trees.

The home was clean, comfortable, and just as described. We appreciated how tidy everything was. Unfortunately, the driveway hadn’t been plowed when we arrived, and we got stuck several times. We were told it would be taken care of after reaching out to the host, but no one ever came. Also, the lower level heat wasn’t working, making it quite cold downstairs. With better snow removal and the heating issue fixed, this would be a great rental.

My sisters and I stayed during a beautiful week in September. The house was perfect, other than some ants, but we’ve come to expect them in the middle of the woods, so no big deal. My family was the original builders and owners of this house, so it was just as we remembered it, along with some amazing new renovations. The Homestead, and more specifically, this house, holds a special place in our hearts! Thank you for allowing us to stay and relive some childhood memories. It was just as magical as we remembered.

Beautiful views - surrounded by trees

Nestled just off the road surrounded by trees the living room has massive windows on each side to enjoy the view. Master bedroom suite upstairs with views looking down into the valley. The kitchen was adequately equipped for cooking and a nice grill to use.

Lodge in the Woods

The lodge was well-prepared for our stay including propane for the grill. We would book this house again and highly recommend it as a rental facility. No communication with the property manager was necessary.
