Lovely house, great location and we enjoyed our stay very much. Unfortunately we were responsible for braking a plastic chair and a glass top to a wicker coffee table. I'm a big guy - 6'3", 140kg and snapped the chair in two when I sat on the chair, falling onto my coccyx. I was happy to replace the chair and was told by Mara the property manager that it would cost 55 to replace and that i was lucky because they were "on special". The chair wasn't purchased though until two weeks later when it was no longer on special and was charged 89. When i questioned it i was told by Mara that i wasn't charged for collection and delivery of the chair because that was done in good faith and inferred that I should be grateful.The glass top was broken when we tried to move it and was told by Mara that similar tops had been broken before and it would cost "about 150". Turns out the quote was over 300 from a glazier and I was told it was cheaper to just buy a whole new coffee table for 270. Discussions with Mara after this became confrontational and my wife and I found Mara to be quite aggressive and disrespectful in her replies to our questions. We then asked that no further money be deducted from our credit card without our authorisation which Mara agreed to and said we would invoiced for the replacement coffee table. Today we had 500 taken from our credit card by Maisonettes (property mgmt company) which we are now trying to get answers for from Maisonettes.
