Calming Cabin Retreat

  • Ubicado entre Goobies y Swift Current, ¡NL es esta gran escapada! El PISO PRINCIPAL ofrece cocina con isla, comedor y sala de estar con techo de catedral y chimenea de leña rodeada de bancos para admirar la vista, dormitorio en el piso principal con cama queen, lavandería y baño con ducha doble. UPSTAIRS mira hacia abajo y tiene una máquina de pinball, futbolín, sofá cama y televisión con muchos DVD para esas noches lluviosas, baño completo con bañera de hidromasaje y 2 dormitorios más cada uno con su propio tragaluz para mirar las estrellas, uno con una cama queen y el otro con 2 juegos de literas para dormir 4 niños. ¡Un montón de excelentes caminatas, recolección de bayas y exploración para hacer, juegos de mesa para el entretenimiento y la hoguera en la parte trasera para hacer fantásticos smores! ¡Por supuesto, si el clima lo permite, puede nadar en el estanque, kayak o canoa o pescar truchas!

The house sits on a lot overlooking a pond, and offers a lovely view, morning, day, and night alike. It was a great stay, and Amanda was an excellent host!

The cottage is a good place for the family and friends to gather. We got groceries ect in Clarenville before going to the cottage It's clean and has everything you need. I would definitely go back again!

Awesome as usual

We’ve been going there for 8 years now, sometimes twice a year, and it never gets old. We love it there and always can’t wait to get back again. The cabin, the area and the amenities make it an experience you will not forget

Charline place to rest

very pleasant place for a stay with friends. very well stocked. close to the transcanada and Clarenville. only downside we were not able to use the BBQ which deserves a replacement

Great Place To Stay

The house was awesome with 2 decks, lots of room and a great view. We absolutely loved it. Our hosts were available at all times. And it was a great location for our day trips to Trinity east, Trinity north, Elliston, and Bonavista, We Highly recommend this Home. Thank-you from the six of us

Quiet, comfortable cabin

Although we only spent short evenings at this property, it was clean, comfortable and well-appointed. If the weather wasn't so rough, we would have taken advantage of the provided kayaks. A good find in rural Newfoundland.

Overall very nice.

Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate that weekend, but otherwise it was an enjoyable experience. The cabin’s size and layout is very nice. A new BBQ would be a good investment.

Excellent location!

Less than 2 hours from St. John’s, this home was perfect for our family getaway. We did not have any difficulty finding the property and it’s location was superb! Cell service is spotty at times until you arrive. We did not have any issues on the property. There is plenty to choose from when it comes to sleeping arrangements which was a plus for our family.

Place was very well stocked to prepare meals, enough seating for us six gals touring the area. Closer space was lacking to hang up clothes was an issue, as well as a shower door that needed fixing as well as the outside lock on the patio entrance was very wonky. But addressed these with the owner and sounds like they will be fixed. Amanda is excellent to deal with. Pretty setting looking over at pond.

Great Party House or Hunting Lodge, but not for everyone

Stayed in 4 different B&B this trip and this one was very disappointing. Everything was very worn and very well used; in need of major, major cleaning and clearing of junk both inside and out. Closets, cabinets and shelves brimming with useless items and danderfilled pillows so much that there was no room for guests clothing and luggage. Very unsafe access at back door, and no stairs, only slippery slope to front door to get to the wooden stairs and very sketchy driveway, glad we had a Jeep. Anyone with any physical impairment should steer clear. Kayaks and canoes only useable if you could haul them up and down a 45 degree slope. Barbeque was excellent and so was the neighbours.

The house was lovely and as shown we were quite happy one though the smoke alarm went off telling us that the batteries needed replacing. The ceilings are quite high and therefore the alarms are also. My son law managed to put his 21 year old daughter on his shoulders to reach and detach the battery. The next day when my 75 year old husband and I were alone the alarm began chirping again. The owners suggested we get a key and get the ladder from under the house to reach and replace the battery. Doable but not something I wanted him to do. I believe the owners live a good distance from the rental. My suggestion is that they hire a local person who could come and resolve these issues.
