Renovated Traditional Stone House With Private Salt Water Pool

  • Esta propiedad tiene el encanto de un edificio tradicional de piedra francés, pero ha sido recientemente renovado para ofrecer un alojamiento de alto nivel.

    El acceso a la propiedad es a través de un camino arbolado que se abre a un valle donde se ve la propiedad. Se encuentra en un lugar tranquilo sin vecinos inmediatos con impresionantes vistas, pero a poca distancia (1,5 km) de la ciudad local de Gourdon.

    Gourdon está en la frontera del Lot y el Dordoña, por lo que está bien ubicado dentro de una zona excepcional de belleza natural con muchos pueblos hermosos, castillos y cuevas para visitar, además del río Dordoña, donde puedes alquilar una canoa o hacer un picnic.

    La propiedad es de una sola planta con 2 habitaciones dobles y una habitación con dos camas individuales, cada habitación tiene su propio cuarto de baño privado totalmente equipado.

    El salón principal tiene una cocina abierta totalmente equipada, comedor y salón. Desde esta área hay dos juegos de puertas dobles que conducen a una gran terraza privada con una impresionante piscina de agua salada de 10m x 5m.

    Para cenar al aire libre hay una gran terraza cubierta tradicional construida con una mesa y asientos para 8 personas. Esto es perfecto para el almuerzo o una copa de vino o simplemente para relajarse a la sombra. La terraza está rodeada de césped y árboles maduros con vistas al campo circundante y el único sonido que lo molesta es el canto de los pájaros o un tractor local.

    Debido a la proximidad de la piscina, esta propiedad puede no ser adecuada para familias con niños pequeños.

Relax time

This is a very beautiful place, to enjoy nature and still have the comfort of the necessary shops nearby. We enjoyed our stay and want to recommend this this house, for sure!

We’ve had a fantastic stay and have thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The weather has been amazing, and the pool has been an absolute lifesaver for cooling off after hot days exploring the area. We even experienced some spectacular thunder and lightning storms, which made for an unforgettable evening!We’d definitely recommend visiting Sarlat, Domme and Rocamadour – all beautiful in their own way. If you’re here on a Saturday, don’t miss the market in Gourdon, which is well worth a visit. For food, we really enjoyed Le Central, and for a relaxed drink we’d recommend La Pot Occitan or Café Divan all within a 5 minute drive of the house in Gourdon.The town is within walking distance of- probably around 15 minutes.Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. We’ve made some wonderful family memories here and hope to return again in the future.

This was an excellent gite in fabulous location, very private but quite close to the pleasant town of Gourdon. Probably the best holiday gite in which we have ever stayed. We will return.

Immaculately presented property, very clean and very well equipped. Very peaceful location, but within walking distance of the town. If we go back to this area, then we would definitely rebook this delightful property.

Everything was absolutely wondeful, the house, the surroundings and the pool. The property was even lovelier that the pictures in the advetisement. Very highly recommended.

Fabulous

We had a great time at the cottage. The location was just soo peaceful. We loved listening to the bells of the cantal cattle grazing in the field adjacent to the place. The pool was very nice. Loved the seating area outside. Cottage well equipped We would stay again.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette charmante maison, très bien équipée et à l'environnement reposant. Nous avons pleinement profité de la piscine et des nombreux lieux touristiques. Le propriétaire est disponible au besoin et réactif. Merci et probablement à l'année prochaine...

Wonderful Property!

Absolutely loved our stay and really can't fault a thing. Super well equipped with everything we needed. Coffee machine a real perk! Outside area lovely and the cows nearby were lovely to hear and see. Wonderful meal in Gourdon at 'Le Pot Occitan' Overall the location is wonderfully peaceful and relaxing. Sarlat market a must (Saturday the better day) Thoroughly recommend this property.

Escapade en Périgord

Très belle propriété, typique du Périgord (et du Lot). Calme et nature sont au RV. Manquent la télé et un Internet correct pour les jours où la météo fait défaut.

Just Superb!

The Gite really is a wonderful place to stay. Set in beautiful surroundings with an amazing pool it was the most wonderful location to relax and unwind. The Gite was comfortable and well equipped for anything you need and was absolutely spotless. Gourdon itself was a lovely town to explore and it has many restaurants worth a visit, supermarkets etc. Communicating with Mike was always easy and he was very prompt to respond to communications. We would highly recommend this Gite and really did not want to leave to go home and will certainly look to visit again.

The Westons

Wow! What a beautiful gite this is. It far exceeded our expectations. The owners have thought about everything, there is nothing we would change. The location was stunning with the only neighbours being the cows and calves in the next field. It is perfectly located to visit Domme, Sarlat, La Roque Gageac and canoeing. We ate out a couple of evenings but the best nights were lighting the bbq around the pool and enjoying the beautiful gite. Thank you Mike for sharing your stunning gite with us. We can’t wait to return again one day.

Magnifique !

La propriété est conforme à l'annonce et même mieux! Calme absolu, environnement bucolique tout en étant proche de tous les commerces de Gourdon. La maison est spacieuse, très bien aménagée et équipée. Beaucoup de très beaux sites à visiter aux alentours. Bref un magnifique séjour. Nous reviendrons très certainement.

Authentieke woning in een oase van rust

De gerenoveerde woning; in de typische stijl van de regio, is ruim en goed in orde. Door de temperatuursensoren bij elke kamer en buiten, kan je steeds op het perfecte moment ramen en luiken sluiten/openen om het binnen zo koel mogelijk te hebben in de warme zomer. Het huis is erg rustig gelegen, met een enorm grasplein rondom en verder bijna uitsluitend velden en wei (met koeien). Duidelijke en uitgebreide info van de eigenaar, zowel vooraf aan verblijf als voorzien in de woning zelf.

Belle maison de campagne, bien située

La propriété garde le cachet d'une maison d'époque malgré une restauration en profondeur. Elle est donc très confortable et possède tout l'équipement moderne. Piscine très agréable et ensoleillée. L'environnement extérieur est très vaste et il n'y a pas de voisins à proximité. Un troupeau de vaches agrémente le paysage.. Le propriétaire n'est pas présent mais facilement accessible par courriel. Le village tout près est intéressant à visiter et comporte tous les services dont on peut avoir besoin. L'emplacement de la maison est idéal pour visiter les très nombreux attraits touristiques de cette magnifique région. En somme, c'est une destination parfaite, autant pour le repos que pour le tourisme.

Fantastic gîte in a stunning location

This is a beautiful property nestled in a very private, relaxing part of le Lot. The space is comfortable, modern, and calm. It is very well stocked with all you need to cook and relax. Grocery shops are very close by as are many of the most popular sites in the Lot and the Dordogne. Communication with Mike was very easy. Can't recommend this place enough!
