Many problems that were not addressed or attempted to address during our stay

The light in the downstairs bathroom is NOT functional. This room is targeted as a "kids" room and our kids had to shower and going to the bathroom in the dark our entire stay. This is very unsafe. The microwave in NOT functional. We had to run a extension cord from the microwave to a different outlet (lucky we brought our own extension cord) The washing machine is NOT functional. The listing described having a washer and dryer so many in our group packed so they could wash during our stay. We had to resort to washing our clothing in the sink. There are many NOT functioning outlets throughout the houseThe kitchen sink sprays sideways while in use.

Beautiful spot! Perfect short vacation

We wanted a spot with scenic views and hikes within a short distance and also had options for food and drinks. This was a wonderful house for the 8 of us that spent the weekend.

Mountain biking and skiing at Mt. Hood

Loved our stay in Government camp - 11yo in ski camp, 13yo, husband and I mountain biking and hiking during the day. * Location! Great access to Timberline (12 minutes?) and 20 minutes to sandy ridge, but fun cross country trails right out the back door and a short stretch to the lift if the timberline biking is open. Restaurants, shops all right out the front door too. * Quiet hours worked - not too loud at night despite the prime location. * The home is clean, well stocked, and lovely inside. we cooked all our own meals and did not need anything. My husband commented on the high quality dovetailed cabinets. * There are nice little touches like white noise generators in the bedrooms, bean bag chairs, and a charging station with all of the different types of chargers. * Management was top notch, even sent someone to help with our TV situation - thanks Hope! * Parking is reserved but not marked in the lot. Look for the map when you get your documents after reserving the property. That said, no one can control what other residents in the area do and the next door renters often occupied both spots. There is ample street parking if you are able and don't mind walking a block or two.

Location is excellent

Just steps from the Main Street. Easy walking to ski shop, general store and pubs. Great communication with Property Manager prior to check-in. Upon arrival walk into a very clean 3 story townhouse. Modern decor, fully equipped. Would definitely stay again!

Exactly what they say it is.

The house is exactly as advertised. If it wasn’t for the checkin/cleaning issue it would be a 4. When we arrived at 6pm the house had not been cleaned. It took quite a while to get a cleaning crew in and then hours to clean it, we didn’t get in to the house until 10:30pm. Government camp is small so we ended up hanging out in the cold for most of that time. They did comp us dinner for 5 of our group. Once we were done with dinner.7:30 or so, the cleaners still hadn’t arrived. At that point I asked for that nights stay to be removed and it was. There were two bathroom doors not completely on hinges and a breaker flipped in the kitchen and we searched the house for quite a while to find the breaker box- buried behind a set of bunk beds. There is limited parking- one spot for a house that sleeps 14. The house was good for our group who were out skiing everyday.

The best Govy experience

The property is impeccable. No half-measures were taken in decorating this property to make it feel like a home. It has nice linens, bedding, furnishings, and fixtures. It doesn't feel like the typical vacation rental where things a a hodgepodge of cheap items from a cheap hotel supply company. Additionally, the location is unbeatable. It's a very short walk (like a block) to the pubs, shops, and restaurants of Government Camp. It is, without a doubt, the first property I will be looking to book for future trips to Mt. Hood.

Great Location
