The open-plan ground floor of High Stack House offers a welcoming and spacious layout, featuring beautiful Spanish-tiled floors, large windows, and French doors that flood the area with natural light, creating a bright and airy ambiance throughout.

Designed with both cooking and entertaining in mind, the fully equipped kitchen has a stainless steel refrigerator and all modern appliances, ensuring you have everything you need to prepare delicious meals. The kitchen seamlessly connects to the dining area, where a large table comfortably seats six. For added convenience, a Brio water cooler provides on-demand cold and hot water and includes a 5-gallon bottle of drinking water for guests.

Just outside, you’ll find a Monument 3+1 burner propane grill, perfect for enjoying al-fresco meals, making outdoor dining effortless and enjoyable (outdoor dining table and chairs soon to be added).

The spacious living room offers comfortable seating, ideal for relaxing after a day of island adventures. Watch your favorite shows on the 50” SMART TV or enjoy music through the Echo Dot Bluetooth speaker, adding an extra touch of comfort and entertainment.

Adjacent to the living room is the ground-floor bedroom, with a comfortable Queen-size bed and a wardrobe for storage. This bedroom connects to a full en-suite bathroom, which is cleverly designed with separate doors on both sides, allowing it to double as a convenient powder room for visitors.

Both bathrooms at High Stack House are modern and stylish, with Corallina tile showers and modern fixtures that elevate your everyday experience. They offer a sense of luxury, making even the simplest routines feel indulgent.

The entire top floor of High Stack House is dedicated to the spacious primary bedroom, which offers an open and airy atmosphere with cathedral ceilings and hardwood flooring. The room includes a King-size bed and two small decks on either side, accessed through double French doors. One deck overlooks the pool and deck area, featuring two Adirondack chairs for the perfect spot to relax and take in the view. The other deck overlooks the lush landscaped gardens and the parking area, providing a peaceful retreat. When hosting a group of six, two Twin roll-away beds can be added to this room.

There is a separate laundry room at the side of cottage, equipped with a full-size washer and dryer, as well as a small folding area. In this room, you will also find beach chairs and an umbrella, perfect for days out on the island.

The outdoor pool at High Stack House offers a refreshing place to cool off under the sun. For an additional $275 per week, the pool can be heated upon request. Relax poolside on one of the four comfortable chaise loungers, or use the pool and beach towels provided. A small cooler box is also provided, ensuring you have everything you need for a leisurely day by the pool or at the beach.

Additional amenities include high-efficiency AC throughout the property and complimentary Wi-Fi Internet (Starlink). A backup generator and water cistern ensures continuous power and water during any unexpected island outages. For families traveling with infants or young toddlers, the property managers can arrange a travel crib/pack n` play and high chair to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

The town of Governors Harbour, a three-minute walk down the hill, has a charming collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking its historic harbor. Buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock, or visit the recently restored Haynes Library, which dates from 1897. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. Friday Night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour, is a weekly street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street until late!

A stroll downhill from the estate in the other direction leads to French Leave Beach, one of the finest beaches on the island and one of the great beaches of the Caribbean. By foot, it’s about 8 minutes to French Leave, a mile-long crescent of pink sand which is literally deserted most of the time.

The island of Eleuthera is famous for its 100 miles of spectacular, deserted beaches. The snorkeling, diving, and fishing on the island are world class. Boating, surfing, and other water sports are also popular. There is excellent sightseeing as well. Eleuthera has vast caves, cliffs, a bottomless ocean hole, many unique beaches, historic churches and 19th century homes, and small villages to explore.
