Gorgeous property right on the lake; very comfortable lake house experience and vibe; tons of activities to enjoy, from kayaking to air hockey to adirondack chairs in the sunshine, and everything in between. Great stay!

My family loves staying at Susan Orr’s wonderful house on Lake Champlain. The house has everything you might need, including a fully stocked kitchen and so many possibilities for entertainment (e.g. kayaks, air hockey, volley ball, games, and more). Perhaps best of all is the incredibly beautiful view of the lake.

This is the most beautiful setting imaginable! Beautifully cared for grounds. It sits right on the lake, fantastic porch/room running the width of the house overlooking NY coast. Cozy, charming rooms. It feels like you are staying in a home, not a rental. Plenty of “toys” for all ages! This was our fourth stay and we’ve already booked next year.

Our group of family and friends spent a week here to celebrate my 50th birthday. There were so many places to sit and read or do a jigsaw puzzle or have a conversation. We swam, went kayaking, found all of the little castles in South Hero, got creemees at Seb’s, walked on the causeway and watched the Plattsburgh fireworks on the 4th of July. Also played badminton and had a fire on the last night to make s’mores. Could not have asked for a better spot.

So much to do

There was so many things to do. Air hockey, pool, kayaking and just general running around. They went nonstop. The house was great with plenty of sleeping.

Graduation wet and wonderful

Never mind the torrential rain -- your beautiful home was perfect for our 9-person graduation group! Your kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, and we loved the ample table space in the wide porch room. The game space was much enjoyed by the teens, with some very competitive ping pong and pool. My 17yo caught a smallmouth bass within moments of putting in his rod....I know he will not stop pestering until we book again. Thank you!

Champlain Islands Marathon Stay

We were visiting from Texas, California, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and Central Vermont for the marathon. This house was a great location convenient to the start/finish line and the course itself. It was an easy trip to Burlington and there were enough local eateries to feed us all. The house was as described with gorgeous views of Lake Champlain. Would definitely return for more relaxation and less running!

Another beautiful long weekend away

A very nice Farm House on the Lake, six of us have stayed at this location many times. My only wish would be a larger TV in the living room for the evenings when the day is done.Other than that 5 Stars~ TY ~

Old Farm House, needs TLC and a thorough cleaning

Outside grounds were pretty, good views of the lake from the back porch. However, inside furnishings were beat up, wires and cords hanging about, kitchen and fridge were not clean (had to wash the coffee pot, countertops, and cookware before we used them), bathrooms had toothpaste smears and drips (and not sure what else) on countertops. Linens were thin and old. Unfortunately, it just gave us the creeps.

Farm House Relaxation

Each time we stay in this spacious, comfortable home, we enjoy it all—the lake, the games, the magnificent views, the expansive porches, the charming Grand Isle shops and food stands, and of course our time as a three generation family making memories.and being grateful.

Great house on the water!

This was our 2nd time renting this house for vacation and we have already booked for another year. We were excited to see there had been some upgrades made since last time we were there. Some new window ac’s to help keep us cool and some new furniture. The house is huge and very good for a large group. Having multiple restrooms on every level was helpful too. We loved all the games and activities that are provided; volleyball net, pool and loads of board games. It was magical being right on the water and the dock is perfect for sunning and lounging on floats. This house was also in a great location, nice and close To all of our favorite spots. The views of the lake from the house was gorgeous and we Loved all the outdoor seating!

4th or 5th stay in this wonderful farmhouse located on the edge of Lake Champlain. Always a great view, wonderful bonfires, and all-around fabulous spot to relax & unwind!

Graduation Stay

This was a lovely property with wonderful sunset views. Owner was very responsive. The house was very spacious and comfortable. We were there too early in the season to take advantage of the water access, which we were bummed about because the weather was beautiful! Would love to stay there again in the summer!!

Great stay for a large family

I promised my kids I would give our stay at Susan's house as many stars as I could. They wanted to give it a hundred stars, but alas, 5 is the limit. We obviously had a great time. The littler people loved having so many things to play with, including air hockey, ping pong, the tetherball, and the other fun options available. The bigger people appreciated the clean and comfortable kitchen, the absolutely stunning view of the lake, and the proximity to Burlington while staying somewhere special and quieter. We would all love to come back in the summer when we can take advantage of the lake. In the meantime, we loved our stay and would recommend 100 out or 5 stars. Thank you, Susan!

Great lake house

We had a wonderful family holiday at this house. The house had lovely touches of being decorated for the holidays, and the space was great for my family. The windowed porch definitely needs heaters for the winter (which we were prepared with!), and it was an awesome addition to the space, which would have been a little squishy inside. The beds were not all the newest most comfortable beds, but they did their jobs! We would definitely come back, and we'd love to visit again in the summer and enjoy the outdoor space more! Beware, entering the 3rd floor has a very short ceiling for anyone over 5'6", but the space opens up after the staircase!

A peaceful getaway

A beautiful and peaceful home on the lake with plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy! Whether it’s playing pool, tetherball, board games, or just relaxing by the water, there is something for everyone. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need, and the home is comfortable and extremely spacious. Great hosts, great home, and a great property!
