Beautiful property. Very nice house with lots to do (campfire, canoeing, several board games, game table fooze ball, ping pong , corn hole etc, Close to many restaurants and activities (downtown Rockford, St. Julian winery).Everything you would need from extra bedding to towels, and kitchen utensils etc. provided by very helpful hosts.

Friends Weekend

This house was truly an amazing find!Check-in was easy. The host was incredibly helpful and available to respond to any questions we had. The house was clean, comfortable (I've never slept so well in a rental), and spacious. There was plenty of tables and seating in every gathering space. We couldn't believe how much this place had to offer in terms of amenities and things to do. Every one of us loved the house. We would definitely stay there again!

Great getaway in Rockford Michigan

Only a 4-night stay, but it was the perfect amount of time to enjoy this area of Michigan and get some local adventures in from.The Rogue River is a great spot for recreation. Saw probably 100 kayakers and fishers over the 4 days we were at the place. You need to book ahead as the local kayak renters can be busy. Don't forget about downtown Rockford too! Wonderfully quaint area with a beautiful dam landscape and plenty of shops and restaurants to enjoy. Rockford Brewing was a favorite.Was surprised how close to the main road the location was, but it didn't detract from our time. Actually enjoyed the motorcycles rumbling by from time to time. Talking with the kayakers was a joy as well.

We loved the river house so much we are already planning coming back! Our family of 8 had so much room to enjoy! Our kids loved everything Linda and Don provided on the property to make the stay extra special! We made so many fun memories thank you to our host for providing such a great place to stay!

This home was booked many months ago for a surprise birthday party for my mother in law! The kids came in from NC and IL. this home perfectly accommodated all of us! We rode down the river in tubes from the dollar store and Walmart! We cooked every day! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and the grill is so nice! We chipped golf balls, sang karaoke, played basketball, threw football, played in the river, and enjoy nights under the twinkle lights on the back porch area. This location is 4 minutes from a grocery store, gas station, dollar store, everything you need! This was a perfect stay! The beds were amazing! There were enough towels for the guests that we had with some left over! The host was so quick to get in touch we me with any needs we had! Oh yeah, and the games… there is a huge selection! We brought some from home, but they already had them all! It was such an incredible stay!! Thank you so much!! We can’t wait to come back

Family vacation!

We had a fantastic stay at The River House!The ease of access to the White Pine trail was phenomenal. We used it every day.The location is great. We had lots of quick trips to downtown Rockford and some larger outings into Grand Rapids as well. Highly recommend for folks looking to explore the West side.The property itself was also great with a beautiful river view, well stocked kitchen supplies, and games

River house review

Charming house. Plenty of space. We loved the game table. I would say i was disappointed in the cleanliness of the space. I wonder if we were maybe the 1st ppl for the season?? It smelled of mildew badly. The linens also smelled of mildew. The kitchen had crumbs and residue near the bar area and the stove.

Everything was great! I appreciated that everything was labeled. The recliner in the living room was very much appreciated, as we really need that for medical reasons. Plenty of privacy and space. Meticulously maintained.

Perfect for our stay

We celebrated our daughters wedding at Whippoorwill Farm and this was perfect distance and accommodated our whole family to stay together and plan last min details get ready together and recap the next morning before heading home we didnt get to enjoy the beautiful river as our schedule was jam packed but it was a beautiful view to see sunday morning as we were packing up

Girls Getaway

Absolutely loved my stay here! It was so peaceful. Rockford itself is super quaint as well. The house was spacious and well equipped as well as being situated on a fantastic piece of property. So close to Grand Rapids yet felt like a true getaway. I will definitely go back!

Very Enjoyable Stay Near Rockford Again

We again had a very enjoyable stay at Riverhouse - located just north of Rockford, MI. They have a very cozy house, situated on a very large lot on the Rouge River. Linda has taken very good care of us - especially as our travel plans changed a bit - both times. While most houses we rent are larger, we have managed very well and felt very comfortable.
