Perfect for a family getaway in the highlands

Could not have enjoyed our stay more! Great location and fantastic property. Super comfortable for large family gatherings.

Family vacation

As we live very far apart across the UK we like to come together and have a family holiday every year. We loved the accommodation, spacious yet cosy. We loved the location, close to activities for children and adults. Most of all we were very fortunate with the weather and even enjoyed a a spectacular thunder storm.

House overall was lovely - beautifully made bunk beds, our kids loved them. Scenery all around was beautiful. Good location. Minor maintenance to bathrooms, crockery and radiators needed.

Fantastic stay!

Eagle’s Nest was beyond our expectations! The description was accurate but everything was that and so much more. We had a family of 16 with ages from 7-79 and there was something for everyone. Kitchen was well equipped, bedrooms very comfortable and clean. You couldn’t ask for more! We world recommend highly.

We have spent a very happy few days at the Eagles Nest. The accommodation was very comfortable from the beds and quality linens to the large lounge with fabulous views. The BBQ shed and jacuzzi added to the weekend enjoyment. The communication with Igloo was excellent. I would book Eagles Nest again without hesitation. Nothing as very well equipped. I would say the dining chairs are really heavy and cumbersome but realise they are part of the styled interior. Oh and way too many cushions!

70th Birthday

The house was absolutely ideal for our large family. It had everything we needed. The facilities were good and the outside space was tremendous. The grandchildren had an amazing time, outside from morning until evening. The BBQ and firepit were a hit with the adults. Close to Grantown on Spey and Aviemore which was ideal for visiting and when we ran out of shopping 🛍️🛒. Would definitely recommend it for large groups. Bedrooms were great and fresh towels, robes and slippers were very welcome 🤗 We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub also. 5 star ⭐ accommodation 🤗

50th Birthday Celebrations

The beds are all so comfortable, all of us had a good nights . House was very clean and well equipped. Hot tub and sauna fantastic . The bedroom up the stairs doesn’t five adults. The two upper bunks are really for kids as they are shorter in length. Fortunately we were a group of 16 but if we had the full 19 adults it wouldn’t have worked. Fridge/freezers should be on for arrival. We hadn’t noticed and it took a whiley to get ice frozen etc Lastly and very minor was the candles needed batteries in the living room area. This is just some positive feedback back as we really did have a great time. Thanks

Overall pretty fantastic

Party of 13, 3 families, adults and kids of mixed ages, 3 night stay in November. Great house with lots of amenities including heated hot tub, sauna and pool table, which went down really well with the older kids. Well stocked kitchen and good amount of dining space which can be an issue when there’s a large party. Great location, with lots of nice walks nearby. The hosts gave us contact details and replied really quickly to messages. Only minor (and I mean minor) niggles were that the heaters didn't seem to be working in part of the house (the bedrooms at the back) meaning it was pretty chilly the house could do with some maintenance, just minor things, nothing that caused us much problem. We would definitely book this house again, so that speaks for itself. We sent a separate email with some details after our stay, just for some feedback.

Ideal location for large gathering with great views. Plenty of outdoor activities nearby The cleanliness could be better. Mattress protecters marked , towels could be better. Door handle needs replaced in kitchen very sharp and dangerous. Found ladies Bra in games room under cushions. ( not from one of our group) TV not working had to call for help. Karaoke machine not working

Amazing party house!

What an amazing party house- great location and views with beautiful decor. The facilities were brilliant, including the hot tub with views of the steam train. Would highly recommend to other large groups. The glasses were all rather dirty when we arrived which meant we had to clean them all before use. We had an issue with the hot water, potentially due to the hot water being used previously by cleaners. We also couldn’t get the dish washer working as there appeared to be a nack to closing it. This was all resolved but something to think about in advance of a party arriving as we had to boil the kettle to wash the dishes of 15 people! Hosts were very helpful and quick to respond and ultimately wouldn’t put me off booking again!!
