Great place
It is a nice place to stay. The Saturday morning breakfast buffet the came with our room was wonderful, everything tasted homemade. We stayed in the hotel part of the Casselman. The staff was also extremely pleasant and helpful.

We loved history in the old Inn, so many historic photos on all of the walls. Location close to the Great Alleghany passageway was also a drawing feature.

I stayed in the motel section, not the Inn. The motel was fine for the price but it's really, really basic which was all I needed for the few hours I slept there. Lady at the front desk was nice.

The staff was friendly, but anytime I went to the front desk I had to search for someone to help me. The beds and pillows were super hard and there seemed to be lotion on the handle of the recliner. The guests next to our room were very loud early in the morning. Cute town.

A little dated, heating/cooling unit effective but dated and noisy because it ran the blower (noisy even on low setting) when it was in neutral mode, cool or warm air. We shut it off to sleep. Positive notes, the shower was worthy of inclusion into the Seinfeld episode with Kramer and Newman obsessing about shower heads and overall shower experiences. Though nothing fancy in appearance the shower head's dynamics and overall experience was top tier. I had been suffering with chronic back pain at the time, the water pressure, heat and intensity were so good I took 3 showers in a 1 night stay, addictively therapeutic! Also the room was spotlessly clean and had an old school heater built into the bathroom fan making Sauna like conditions available in the bathroom. Definitely the best part of the room overall. Very quiet little town as well, so sleep was pretty good. Just an old school kinda room at a pretty fair price. $75 fees

Not impressed
Big spacious room but the refrigerator was on wheels & tipped over when opened. Food was overpriced & not very good. Staff was friendly but had us confused on where to find our room.

We were fishing and had multiple vehicles with boat trailers. They were fine with parking and charging batteries the best way we could. Even allowed parking in grass if needed. Nothing bad to say comes to mind. We’ll stay here when fishing High Point and the Yough.

Will visit again!
We enjoyed our one night stay, while attending a nearby event in Meyersdale,PA. Interesting historical property! Beds were not too firm and floors didn't have carpeting. No smoke or mildew odors. It was quiet. Dined at the restaurant on location for dinner then for breakfast in the morning. They offer buffets both times but we ordered from the menu. Loved their applebutter! Small gift shop too.

Nice property with an amazing restaurant on property and great helpful staff. Loved the thrift store across the street. Also Penn Alps down the road is worth going to the little village there and shops are lovely.

A good stopover stay.
A clean and comfortable motel in a small town in the mountains of Maryland. Not much to do in town, but there is a quant Pennsylvania Dutch artisan craft village a two minute drive away that is worth a look. The restaurant in the main house serves good home cooked food at reasonable prices and the baked goods are delicious.

We have stayed here multiple times before and is one of 2 hotels we will stay at when visiting family. The only reason we stay at the other place is proximity to my family. This is a great hotel, staff is friendly and kind and you are able to check in at anytime! Also affordable and clean. Will always be one of the locations we stay at.
