“This is a recently renovated Gold Rush era hotel, very quaint and authentic. The rooms and bathrooms have been updated to modern standards which is nice, but have authentic period decor/antiques. The town is VERY small and cute, extremely quiet (in general) and a walkable historic self-guided tour. It makes a great base of operations for exploring the area. “This Motel has a retro feel of the early 60's. it is clean, safe and comfortable. The pool area is the best we have encountered. We loved the big trees and the lovely lawn. I will definetely be back!”

“Wonderful property . I’ll Definitely stay again . I also loved the in house restaurant called Max’s and the breakfast in the morning was great too. It had a great selection of made to order omelettes and burritos . They also had French toast , eggs , bacon , sausage , and so much more . I highly recommend this hotel . ”

“It’s great when you can support an independent motel instead of the big chains. We enjoyed a clean comfortable shower and sleep in a comfortable very well kept little motel. The a/c was wonderful, cool, with a steady sound that never awakened me the way the ones at too many other hotels have on our cross country trip. ”
