Our newly renovated and furnished, bright attic apartment (57 square meters) with a separate entrance is located in a very quiet residential area in the Grassau-Mietenkam neighborhood, between Lake Chiemsee and the Alps. Right next door is an 18-hole golf course (operated by the hotel “Das Achental”), and behind it lies the Kendlmühlfilzen Nature Reserve, where you can enjoy long, scenic hikes in every season. Mietenkam is ideal for day trips to Lake Chiemsee, with a ferry service (summer schedule) running from Feldwies Beach to Herrenchiemsee Castle and to the unique Fraueninsel, home to a historic monastery church. By car, you can quickly reach the musical metropolis of Salzburg, as well as Bad Reichenhall, Berchtesgaden, Reit im Winkl, Ruhpolding, Kössen in Austria, Walchsee, Kitzbühel, and Kufstein. In addition to Lake Chiemsee, there are numerous smaller lakes for swimming—in Grassau, Wössen, and Grabenstätt, or north of Lake Chiemsee (Seeon Abbey and the Langbürgner Lake District)—some of which are accessible by bike. In general, the Chiemgau region is very popular with cyclists because of its diversity and wonderful scenic views. The well-marked trails around Hochfelln (with a aerial cableway), Hochplatte (chairlift), Hochgern, and many other areas offer plenty of hiking opportunities.
For skiers, the top ski areas of Steinplatte and Winklmoosalm—as well as the Loferer Steinberge in Austria—are ideal.
We offer a lockable garage with charging stations for e-bikes as well as a free parking space.

Reit im Winkl is about 20 minutes away by car or by bus line 9509 from the village square
Steinplatte Ski Area / Winklmoosalm: about 30 minutes
We, Andrea and Matthias Nitsche, are a married couple with adult children who have their own lives. We are still working and are happy to be able to rent out our attic apartment to nice vacation guests. We built the house in 1991 according to our own plans and live on the first floor and first floor ourselves.
