The house was large and accommodated our group of 6. I’m glad our trip ended up with less people as I could not imagine fitting 12 adults to sleep comfortably. The hot tub seemed like it hasn’t been drained and cleaned in a while, some of the outlets don’t work and there are oddly no ceiling lights in any of the bedrooms. Probably not an issue in the summer months but in Feb it made it seem quite dark. The kitchen was well stocked with any cookware we may have needed, the game room was fun (and frigid), our group loved the Disney movies in the guest house. The beds could use some new pillows and mattresses. All of the lights along the walking path to the main house from guest house were out and the walking path is a tripping hazard. Also the pullout sofa upstairs is broken so we were unable to use it as a bed. Overall it was a relaxing weekend away. We just all noticed some things that could use some maintenance and updating.

Great for a family gathering!

We had a great time here celebrating my Mom’s 80th birthday. Each of 3 generations enjoyed the house for various reasons. The games room was a huge hit with all of us, as was the relaxing home and view, plus the fully stocked kitchen and entertainment options. The surrounding nature beautiful in any weather, and lots to explore in the area.

Stunning views for days

Wonderful house with an amazing view! The property had everything we needed and matched the description perfectly. The location was convenient, and the kids especially loved the game room. The management team was prompt and responsive. We would definitely book again!

Beautiful views, house needs lots of maintenance, plus all the house water tastes/smells like blood.

We are enjoying this property and love the location but have identified the most concerning maintenance issues (there was more maintenance needed but small in comparison) that we did not expect to encounter at the price paid to rent this property, and have listed them below: The domestic water has high metallic(?) content and smells like blood Fridge water filter is red and states it needs to be replaced, which is important since the water smells and tastes like blood Faceplate on fridge is very loose Hot tub water green Hot tub cover bar bent, and rope used to help pull it up broke Middle blind in master bed room broke Sinks in main house bathrooms barely drain and they need the stoppers to pull up to drain Cupboard knob for lazy-susan cabinet falls off Kitchen sink Insta heat valve handle is not connected but is loosely set on top Various light bulbs are burnt out Dishwasher strainer is very dirty and gross We spent a lot of money and feel the pictures were not all correct.

Insane view

Amazing time! The views were out of this world. Something to note is the game room with loft(queen bedroom and pullout) is very detached so we did not use it as much as we hoped. The stairs down to the beach are a bit sketchy- not great for older people. Hot tub was a bit on the green side/not the cleanest home we have stayed in. With all that being said, we would definitely stay here again just for the views. Close to lots of things to do as well-fort Casey, Clinton, blue fox drive in.

Gorgeous Spot

We really enjoyed our stay here. The view was gorgeous! The only thing that was a little bit inconvenient was there was no hot water in the apartment above the garage, but when we reached out to the manager they got someone out to work on it within a few hours and got it fixed right up! The responses back to us for any issues was very quick. The location was great, a 10 to 15 min ride to town. We all had a nice stay and the beds were very comfortable. Be careful walking down to the beach though because the stairs can get very slick, as we found out when my husband slipped and fell down. He was fine though! Thanks for the stay!

Had a great stay with successful fishing!!!

Stayed for a week with our family, we all had a great time. The house was in great shape and we were able to relax on the deck and enjoy some beach time as well. Sunsets were great and we were fortunate that Pink and Coho salmon were running during our time there. We ended up catching 23 total as a group just by shore casting. Would stay here again!

Island Time

This was an amazing property perfect for the entire crew!! Walks on the beach, competitive air hockey and drinks by the fire on the deck at night, what’s not to like! I would definitely recommend this property and can’t wait to come back next year!!

Our Second Family Vacation at Barranco

Our family of 10 (ages 12 to 82) stayed here 2 years ago and were all anxious to return. This property overlooks Puget Sound and the large deck and windows provide gorgeous views of the water and Olympic mountains, vessels and cruise ships that pass by, and bald eagles nesting in the trees. This year we also saw 3 orcas swimming offshore. The younger family members enjoyed the shore area and kayaking. It is peaceful and quiet as you are isolated from neighboring properties. A few minor complaints: the obvious mailbox coming in STILL shows the number 4058 instead of 4070, and the long driveway has not been improved. The deck had plants growing through the floors and broken gate. The steps going to the beach had not been improved, but our younger family members still enjoyed the shore at low tide and did some kayaking. (One son-in-law tried to clean up the overgrown weeds a bit. Another son-in-law fixed the loose faucet in the kitchen.) The home has nice furnishings and the internet is great, but it is beginning to look like it needs some TLC. The kitchen is well equipped but has hit and miss pan sizes and utensils, and the broiler in the oven didn't work. The ice maker still provided surprises for us, the locks are quirky, and some light bulbs need replacing. These are all minor complaints leading us to believe the owners don't spend time there. Would we come back here again? Probably, because we love this island and the quiet location.

Heaven with family

The place was magic and created a wonderfulw relaxing atmosphere for our family getting together. It is quiet and we can see eagles flying while simmering in the Jacuzzi. A wonderful time thank you

Ladies birthday weekend getaway

Private place to ourselves with plenty of beds and seating space. Easy check in, key used to lock/unlock, gorgeous view of the Sound with sunsets on clear days. Hot tub was delightful, gas fire pits worked great, and parking fit 3-4 cars but no more.

Beautiful Puget Sound Retreat

This is a lovely family home with all the necessary comforts in a stunning location. Beach access is for able bodied folks only, but once you get down there, it’s a very clean and private stretch of sand. The game room was a very big plus as well.

Mom and Daughters week away

The musty/mushroom smell of the home and guest house was off putting. The home needs some TLC, but was a beautiful location, well stocked, The open concept is great, we played games, enjoyed restaurants and shopping. We had a great time together. We did not take advantage of the game room and loft bedroom due to the smell.

Whidbey Smugglers Cove vacation home

Beautiful house, larger then expected with great Sound, mountain, and sunset views. High end Fi shout and we’ll stocked. We had a little trouble locating the stand-alone converted two story garage which houses an incredibly stock game room with a bedroom suite above. The game room was very popular with the youngsters in the morning allowing the adult to sleep in. We would diffintely rent again.

A beautiful home with great views

We spent a wonderful weekend enjoying the house and the surrounding area. Sipping coffee on the deck in the morning while listening to the birds was a beautiful experience. A very comfortable stay made very easy by our excellent hosts
