It was a very nice private area. When we got there, it was dark so we had to kind of figure out where we were headed. We stayed in the Pine Lodge. The room was decorated really cute and it was exceptionally clean. My wife said that it’s one of her favorite places that we’ve ever stayed. We met the owners the morning. We were checking out and they were so nice. We would definitely go back there again.

The food at the restaurant is delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and our room was very clean. It’s a very quiet and peaceful setting, but close to many tourist destinations. We would definitely recommend. They have a beautiful banquet hall for weddings and parties, too!

This was the 2nd time I've stayed there; although first time not on business. I stayed in the Pine Lodge this time which admittedly is a bit more spartan but nevertheless quite adequate, nice, and clean. The grounds are really quite lovely and if you're wanting a room that's a bit more expanded I'd recommend the cedar lodge which I believe is where I stayed before. Additionally the restaurant is very good; huge portions, friendly wait staff, great menu selections, and really good food. Will definitely stay again when I'm through the area.

This would be a great place for a small group retreat. Beautiful grounds! The Cedar Lodge was a quiet and restful place to have coffee. The self-serve breakfast was a nice touch. Unfortunately we were there on a Monday when the restaurant was not open. Pretty place at a good price.

This complex was once a rehabilitation facility. It has a lovely setting but it is very remote, aging, all self service everything, and almost seemed vacant during the entire 3 night stay. They did respond somewhat to our complaints. It does not meet the 8.8 rating at all.

Definitely pros and cons here... It was a neat property, cute rustic feel and very clean. It was also in route to our destination so that was good. The restaurant was nice and the staff was friendly. The parking was well lit and convenient. What we didnt care for was that there was a group of people who pretty much took over the lodge, they stayed in the common area the most of the time (and took all the ice). They were not bad people or anything just overwhelming. There was very little privacy as you can hear through the paper thin walls. Amenities were very limited. It didnt seem like the place was packed on a week night, so if we were in a different area of the lodge (not with the group) it probably would have changed our experience.

Very much enjoyed the Lodge experience. The property is very pretty and well maintained and I appreciated the ease of having the room number and passcode to the room in advance. The food in the restaurant/pub was very good and reasonably priced. The staff we dealt with person were nice, polite, and helpful. I would highly recommend the Foggy Mountain Lodge.
