Fine

We came to Mauldin for a volleyball tournament, and this hotel was closest to the gym, and the best price available. The hotel was just what I expected from the reviews and the price - nothing fancy, but totally fine. Our room was clean, and everything worked fine except the tv remote. Other reviewers complained about the smoke smell, and you could smell a little smoke in the hall, but our room was smoke-free. My only criticism is the breakfast - the selection was minimal at best, but there is a Waffle House right across the parking lot, so it was not a big deal! For the money, this hotel is just fine.

This Was A Good Choice

All in all it was a pleasant stay with just about everything I could ask for. The only "glitch" was that housekeeping took a day off and the linens were not changed. This happened in Langley B.C. as well so this may be a "normal" occurrence. Other than that, it was clean, quiet and a very large room. It came with a micro and 'fridge which is handy. The staff were very attentive and considerate, but I think you can expect that when you are south of the Mason-Dixon Line. As a business traveler I have decided that this is the way to go as the Hilton line is way over priced and Best Western is a real "crap shoot" most of the time. And don't even suggest Holiday Express. The on-line special was terrific as I would like to see someone beat 3 nights for what I paid. Very much a "keeper" as I say.

Would definatly stay again

The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I would stay there again without hesitation. The location was great. There were so many things near it that I could walk to. There were resturaunts all around. It was overall a great experience.

Not very good

I understand the hotel just changed ownership, but it has a long way to go before I would stay there again. The rooms were musty smelling since the air conditioning was turned off -- in August. The water pipes had major problems and made a horrendous sound when I took a shower. The breakfast was ordinary and not what other chain hotels offer. All in all it was convenient location and not much else -- wil not stay there again.
